HE is tipped as one of the contestants to enter the jungle for this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

However Diversity frontman Ashley Banjo has denied he’ll be venturing into the unknown with the star-studded secret line-up.

The 26-year-old dancer is best known for being a part of the street dance troupe Diversity, who won the third series of Britain's Got Talent in 2009.

Talking to Express.co.uk about his decision not to appear on the show, Ashley said his love for the capital makes him reluctant him to swap the city for a jungle environment.

“I get asked to do it all the time and I've always said no. That is not me I was born in Leytonstone I'm a city boy through and through.

“The idea of eating a kangaroo ball doesn't do it for me. The only way I would go into the jungle is to save someone I love or for lottery money, one of the two.”

Despite Ashley, who is a judge for Sky1 talent show Got to Dance, being nominated for Best TV Judge at next year’s NTAs it has been announced the programme is being axed after five years on air.

Writing on Twitter Ashley said: “I'm incredibly sad there won't be another series of Got to Dance. But also incredibly proud of what the show has achieved.

“And it's made a genuine and positive impact on dance culture in the UK. Especially for the next generation. That's something to be proud of.”

Ashley is now lending his green fingers to encourage everyone to join #GetFruity for Helping Britain Blossom, a community orchard programme that aims to create and restore 100 community orchards across Britain by 2017.

Commenting on the project, he said: “I've always been a fan of things that bring the community together. I've done different projects where I have taught different sections of the community to dance, so when I got the opportunity to get involved with this I jumped at it!

“You get to learn a new skill as its hard work maintaining an Orchard. Why not try something new you've got nothing to lose. It's a good way to get people out and about learning different skills and getting to know their neighbours young and old.

He added: “A community coming together is a really strong thing and feeds back into how the area feels and back into business.
