Most annoying Facebook tropes
 

Pick the worst if you please. Poll coming. Was supposed to be worst 3 but oh well.

1)Publicly messaging something to someone that could have easily been privately messaged. I.e it involves no other purpose than to show off.

E.g "can't believe what you and me got up to last night Tracey"


2)Sharing photo's that attempt to blackmail you into re-posting

E.g. "Cancer is a horrible thing, my mate Tracey died of breast cancer. Share this post unless you want cancer to keep on killing."


3)Pretending you're drunk by switching a few letters around in your sentences.

E.g "oh man am so wvsted"

4)Deliberately fishing for compliments by posting open ended statements that rely on extra comments to flesh out

E.g Tracey Smithson is feeling proud "Can't believe how much I've changed"

5)Deliberately venting about an incident that happened to you very recently as if you are venting to the person in question (but you won't cos you don't dare)

E.g "ah what a ****. Why cut me up ya twat"

6)Deliberately posting vague timeline status's in order to make people respond to find out what happened

E.g "OMG can't believe what happened, worst day of my life, omg."

7)Look at my baby

E.g "Awwwww look at ma wee man, I know I posted a picture of him like two minutes ago but I wanted you all to see this, yes all you people half of which I don't even know.

8)Relationship grievances

E.g "can't believe he'd do this to me, (5 paragraphs of spilling the beans) I deserve so much better"

9)The dreaded un tag me I'm ugly. Because why send them a message privately when you can air it to everybody for them to give you compliments.

E.g "ugh I'm horrible in this photo, un tag me please"

10)Like my post

E.g "rate me, like for looks"

11)Txt spk

E.g "wot man u cumin art ton8 or wot?"

I've gone ****** it up by not allowing multiple answers.

People posting as they're out for dinner with their partner and then taking a photo of their food, seriously? just enjoy the date fgs :laugh: It's so rude as well to be playing with your phone and on FB while you're out eating dinner with someone

The worst thing atm is the amount of irrelevant nonsense that appears in my feed. I can now see whenever a friend of mine has liked a photo, a page, a comment, a status :umm2: I only want to see what they actually ****ing post ffs

but of these options, only 10 and 2 are things I've noticed.

Yeh that's a good one. Also posting a picture of empty glasses as if it's an achievement.

The constant lad bible stuff is starting to grate on me too. Some of it's hilarious but when ya get the same stuff being shared all over.

Also some people were intolerable on Facebook during the Scottish independance stuff. Fiercely political people with constant wings over Scotland articles all over my newsfeed pee'd me off no end.

Does my head in with the Lad/Sport bible as well where most of their posts are links to their website which don't explain what the story is just say something like "one lad had a shocker of a halloween last night, can't believe he did this" or "Stevie G had this to say about the game yesterday, Liverpool fans won't like this"

Annoying thing is you're disappointed with the story 90% of the time but I still always click on the off chance it might be something brilliant :rant:

Aw man yeh, I thought this was just my iPad not loading the article but that happens all the time.

Nothing at all, I have them when the caterers are on holiday or Jamie Oliver is too busy to pop round to make my tea.
