If the workers are still classed as resident in their home country then (I would assume) their pension is still tied to that country, as will any equivalent of National Insurance be (if there is one)... so, then, whilst the workers will still be contributing Income Tax to the UK pot, the company itself won't have to shell out for the new pension scheme or Employer's N.I. contributions, which, with 300+ workers, would save the company several thousand pounds every month. This is largely guesswork of course - I don't actually know how N.I. contributions work for EU migrants.
