Craig Charles has left I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here 2014 following the tragic death of his brother.



It was reported yesterday evening (UK time) that Craig had been informed of his brother’s sudden death after waking up.

The 49-year-old was given the option by show bosses to leave the camp to be with his family.

“We took the decision not to shock him and wake him in middle of the night and will inform him of the sad news when he wakes up,” a show source said at the time. “He will be allowed to do exactly what he wishes.”

It’s now been confirmed that Craig has left the camp following the shock bereavement.

“Craig decided to leave the IAC camp earlier today and will be heading back to his family the UK,” a spokesperson for the show confirmed today.

They added: “We send our sincere condolences to Craig and his family.”



A source at ITV told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s a terrible situation for Craig, losing his brother and leaving the jungle at the same time.

“He is finding it all very difficult at the moment.”

It’s understood that Craig’s older brother Dean died of a heart attack on Tuesday evening.
