That new sith's lightsaber is so unbelievably dumb, a handguard is there to stop their weapon cutting your hands, what happens if you touch your handguard, which can happen.... rest in pepperonis own hand.

Lightsabers are generally a bad idea, one false move could mean it bounces off and cuts you in half :laugh: Which is probably why they're only used by force users

JJ Abrahms definately seems more suited to Star Wars than Star Trek, hell the past two Star Trek films felt almost like Star Wars, lol.

You can tell it is directed by JJ Abrams just from the teaser. Some of the shots look just like the Star Trek films he did.

I've been in a buzz all day since I first saw it lol. It looks promising that JJ has kept the CGi to a minimum, with the planet landscape and stuff

Yeah, the CG seems to be there to enhance the scenes, rather than create them, which is the best way to do it (Abrahms did the same with ST). In the prequels you had cgi creating scenes everywhere, even if it was just two characters talking, not only did it look crap, but it made it harder for actors to perform.

..jeez, that beginning bit made my tummy jump...when the Star Wars music kicks in though..:lovedup:...

I'm really excited for this movie and the trailer looks great but I do not like that LightSaber at all.. It looks dumb and impractical and extremely gimmicky.

This teaser trailer made me give a sh*t about Star Wars again. Those beautiful x-wings. :omg:

It's from a Star Wars website, was leaked in October, was presumed fake, but the lightsaber is pretty damning

I think the lightsaber makes sense, we've got the normal saber, the staff saber, now the broadsaber.

Yeah they sort of covered this in one of the Old Republic games. You can only use a lightsaber after becoming a Jedi / Sith because without the force, you'll just decapitate yourself or something.

True! But I don't think any amount of 'force' or talent will make this weapon any less awful :hehe:

What happened to good old fashioned light sabers, the best fighters use them :smug: Anakin anyone?
