Mel feels picked on by Edwina...
Melanie Sykes has claimed she feels “picked on” by Edwina Currie on I’m A Celebrity 2014.
Speaking on the show last night ahead of the latest elimination, Mel said that she was ready to leave when she revealed that she felt “picked on” by Edwina. “Me and Edwina just clash” said Mel. “I respect her for all that she has done but she … I don’t know why but I feel like she is on me a little bit.” In camp she said to Jake “I feel a bit picked on.” The TV presenter explained: “I hate being told you’re like this, you’re like that by somebody who’s known me for about three seconds.” Speaking in the Bush Telegraph, Jake remarked “Mel’s very independent so somebody telling her to do something or giving their opinion when she’s already got a strong mind herself maybe doesn’t come across great.” Later Edwina annoyed Mel by asking her how her hand was, having previously burnt it, and suggested that Mel considered putting some vaseline rather than plasters or bandages on it so that it got some air. “No plaster” retorted Mel as she showed Edwina her bare hand. “I’m not a child and I feel like a little bit that she hen pecks me and I don’t like it” Mel continued. Not an Edwina fan but she did only ask how Mel's hand was....that's not picking on someone .....such an angry and OTT response from Mel .

I feel that Edwina seems to have a problem with younger, independent women.
She has not been critical of any of the male campmates but was gunning for Kendra as soon as she arrived & then set her sights on Mel. We only see an hour or so out of 24 every night, I could imagine that non-stop little digs would take it's toll especially when you are tired & hungry. Edwina reminds me of a mother-in-law who just does not like the daughters-in-law. Edwina knows what she is doing. |
who or what doesn't wind Mel up FGS .

Foggy Kendra Tinchy Michael Nadia Jimmy Pretty much the majority of the camp, bar Vicki and Edwina actually like her. I don't think Vicki even dislikes her, she seemed quite nice in her interview, even stating she wanted everyone to win, including Mel. Despite, earlier tensions, Michael and Mel got on fine, and was just sensationalized by viewers to be something it wasn't. Michael even chose her as his deputy, and she seemed pretty sad to see him going, in the Telegraph, saying she warmed to him. I think Mel only dislikes Edwina. |

Like yourself, Erin, I am no Edwina fan, can take or leave her, but there is no two ways about it that Mel is a grumpy moo, who even finds a slight in a compliment, it's like she is just bruising for an argument no matter what. Some must feel like they are walking on eggshells round her, even if they do like her. As for wanting to leave, yeah right, that's why she was so happy when she was saved yet again. |

I liked Mel before she went in the jungle, soon changed my mind.
Stroppy, mardy mare that she is. I honestly think she has a game plan.as well. Love to see her out next. |
