It should be a nationwide thing. I'm surprised people have to be reminded what a disgusting thing it is.

Quite a big fine for spitting, but honestly it is such a disgusting thing to do so hopefully an incentive to stop the bad habits.

Only £80, that surprises me.

What if you are ill and building up a load of phlegm? Or smoke a dodgy cigarette? Or see a Millwall fan on the other side of the road?

Well when you look at the fines I could get if I didn't clean up after my dog or have him on a lead where he should be on one,an £80 fine for the horrible act of spitting in the street pales into insignificance.
