Are they scraping the barrel this year.
Every year around this time we read article about Hollywood A listers and British stars that are lined up for CBB. This year we are getting reports about Z listers that you could get for the price of a curry on a Friday night and amongst them are drug addicts and nobodies. What are they playing at.

It's their own fault for having two per year, it's over kill

There are more than enough celebs about to have 2 a year. They killed their own golden goose by messing about with the programs ethos and by throwing in **** stirrers like Speidi. That's why celebs wont go in anymore. The age old adage of competition and fun has gone out the window to be replaced with ridicule and professional suicide.
Now the only gene pool they have to choose from are Z listers, fame hungry *****s and professional reality **** stirrers. |
People say this every year utter rubbish the lesser names are always the best
|
Im not really a snob when it comes to what calibre of celeb it is they will all get verbally raped and called desperate, scum of the earth, fame *****s for taking part in the show anyway so.....
The lesser known celebs tend to bring a lot to the show (obviously excluding the same old glamour model we have every year who seems to be the same girl who just looks slightly different have BB built drones to make the kleeshay boring pretty stepford housemate?) ....Anyway ranting. The lesser known's usually bring more to the show as its a chance for them to get noticed and they will do ANYTHING to get ahead. The lesser knowns really are the car crashes I love to watch :) The pressure of getting A listers is probably at an all time low, they have less to live up to if we are going to count on a list of a to z seeing as their nearest rival Im A Celeb had a dreadful cast this year. As long as there are a few big names im fine with it, it is Celeb BB after all but totally ok with the z listers. I have to agree with Matt that if they just stopped the summer CBB they would be able to get a fantastic group of celebs. Imagine the big names from January and the big names from the summer this year and just put them into one January series it would have been epic. The bigger celebs are wasted on the summer show. |
The bigger the celeb, the more boring they are. Its the reality *****s that need to be left out and the celebs will come back. Nobody wants to share a show with someone they know is in there to deliberately hog the cameras and cause conflict.

they've been scraping the barrel since CBB4 with Maggot, Faria and Chantelle.

Just because someone is famous it does not make them more entertaining in my opinion. Does it make them intriguing to watch for a few days? Kind of like watching your teacher out of her natural habitat YES but it gets old very quickly with no substance or character to back up the hype they worked so hard to create. |

That's what I said though when saying the least famous will be more lively seeing as they have drive to get attention, the major celebs do tend to be very boring because they have to protect their career and that's not what we want to see as its not them being themselves. Channel 5 allways manages to pull in some big names every year and im sure they will this year aswell. Even though the lineups are NEVER exactly Hollywood imo CBB gets the biggest names out of any celeb reality show in the UK. Im a celeb is atrocious when it comes to really bagging the big names. Channel 5 seem to set their sites on their must have a lister and throw everything they can to get them in the house which usually works. |

I feel there have been good rumours this year, I haven't seen any TOWIE/MIC/Geordie Shore people rumoured too
I'm pleased with most of the Celebs rumoured they all seem different and diverse |

Seriously if you look at the quality and entertainment factor of both those shows its shocking how people prefer to watch the cheap ITV rip off. CBB is actually miles ahead and it makes my **** itch that people feel to superior to watch it. |

IAC is interesting to watch because of Ant and Dec but the simple fact that they don't mess with the shows ethos is also a factor. Viewers and voters get the feeling that IAC is run fairly and you very rarely hear of conspiracies and the like. BB has lost its shine because every year, the producers crap on the voters and viewers by changing things and running it their way. BB and CBB have lost the trust of their viewing public and IAC is still just IAC with funny trials and the same format.
