worst man in the mirror ever?

this manufactured tuneless wonder , somehow managed to convince joe public, that he hadnt murdered michael jacksons classic

jacko was a magnificent performer and singer and his man in the mirror was a piece of musical history........this fellow strangled all the musicality out of the classic

meanwhile the so called panel all decided it was amazing, despite the fact , mel "i tell it as it is hard nosed northerner " didnt like him till finals day and now suddenly loved him

im not even convinced his tuneless efforts werent aided by some dubbing trickery..............hard to hear for real when theres 20,000 people all cheering and screaming because theyre being told to do so the producers, warm men and mindless peer pressure....

he will of course sell a millin records in 5 minutes just like the banal one direction selll a million tickets in 5 minutes to brainwashed droogs

imagine the embarassment going to kindgergarten the next day without a one direction tickets and a vote for ben whatshisname?

and of course no one will ever meet a person who buys a ben whatshisnames album?

meanwhile bob dylans performs to empty arenas lol

Liam- 15-12-2014 11:06 PM

No

joeysteele 15-12-2014 11:07 PM

Actually for me, I thought he did it pretty good, I liked the start how he did it too.

Of course I doubt anyone could come near to equalling Michael Jackson's treatment of it.

GoldHeart 15-12-2014 11:12 PM

all Ben's performance's seem the same and lack strength and i find them boring
his best performance was when he did aint no sunshine
and even his duet with Ed Sheeran was ok

his version of Michael Jackson's Man in the mirror wasn't very good and i prefer the original
and i think Michael Jackson's Dirty Diana would of been better suited to him

and his winner's single sounded strained and lacked effort and no where near as good as Fleur's version
but people like him and his voice so he should make the most of his fame while it lasts but im not a fan :idc:

the truth 16-12-2014 03:11 AM

he was appalling, none of you will buy his albums....those who voted will in time realise this indisputable truth

Mystic Mock 16-12-2014 03:14 AM

He mainly lived off his looks, hence why he poses during performances instead of actually performing like a Rocker should be doing.

Marc 16-12-2014 06:14 AM

it's over. he won.

This feels like the BB15 threads all over again. Series ends and for the days and weeks after people still moan and argue

Vanessa 16-12-2014 09:27 AM

I prefer him when he does rock. Highway to hell was awesome!

Kazanne 16-12-2014 09:32 AM

I thought he did a good job but as the OP said no one will ever top Michaels ,Ben was very brave to attempt it and he did a good job.

wouldn't it be a boring world if we all liked the same thing? I personally love Ben and have wanted him to win for a long time, I however didn't think man in the mirror was the song of the series, that was for me highway to hell 100. Im pleased he won but I would have still been pleased had Fleur won. I do think the winners single sounded better with Ben singing it though. The reason why one direction sold out in 10 mins is because they are brilliant and im not @kindergaden, I flippin love them and im quite old lol on the other hand I don't like Bob Dylan does that make me a brainwashed droog? I have to say it does get on my nerves when people go on about the likes of Bob Dylan or the Beatles.... they were out over 50 years ago and people today want to listen to music of today IMO

to be fair Beatles were of their time and they were a good band and were very successful and the popularity and fame they had is the same level as what 1 Direction have now :idc:

the only mistake Beatles made was saying they're going to be "bigger than Jesus " who says that
plus its a generation thing because most of Beatles fans are probably middle aged
whereas Ben fan's and 1 Direction fans are mostly teenagers
plus people always care more about what's "HOT NOW" as in modern music and new artists

I'm with you on the 1 Direction thing Mizzy, why do people presume it's kids that like them.I'm a mom of 3 and cant wait to go and see them in concert, the boys done good.hows Tinsle by the way?

Mystic Mock 16-12-2014 09:04 PM

The Beatles was just another boyband to me, and what a trend it has been that they've started.

the truth 16-12-2014 09:19 PM

one direction are crap....theyve rehashed several classics and butchered them, but cowell and the money men and the wardrobe people ensure theyre all looking good and dub over the many bum notes. utterly talentless band of utter blandness....its an embarassment to this brainwashed little island that such nonentities have totally taken over the music scene

Mystic Mock 16-12-2014 09:25 PM

Tbf America loves 1D more than the UK does which is poor really considering most artists are suppose to sell the most in their indigenous land.

I am actually surprised to hear me saying this but I really rate 'One Direction' now, the last few singles have been top class in my view and the albums are full of really solid tracks and performances too, being fair to them.

I am only 22 but I actually prefer the older music,I am totally in love with the 60s and love the songs from that time, also the singers too, real singers I like to call them.
I play such music loads and would love to hear more of it on things like X Factor myself.
The other thing I love from that time are the cover versions of songs, where you can compare so many songs that got recorded by the other big singers of the time.
Something you don't get now really.

As to the Beatles who have been mentioned above, it cannot be denied they opened up so much of British acts and music to the rest of the World, particularly the States.
The other thing about them was their songwriting, looking at all the artistes who got hit records with Beatles songs is near endless.
An amazing set of records they have as a group although,I myself, do admit I often prefer their songs sung by others.

the truth 17-12-2014 03:41 AM

one direction are crap. they know nothing theyve learned nothing, theyve been given the world without earning any of it........this ben nobody is an insult to music lovers......people this talentless shouldnt be allowed to touch the works of geniuses like jacko or queen etc whatever next? cliff richard doing marvyn gaye? sick bag please matron

Mystic Mock 17-12-2014 03:46 AM

Ben made a mockery of Rock Music as well when he posed through Demons.

the truth 17-12-2014 04:14 PM

every you tube video of ben nobody destroying jackos legenedary man in the mirror song has had all coments disabled? I wonder why? a bit too much criticism of this utter crap...we cant have the public criticisizing the fix that is the awful x factor winner

Ryan57 18-12-2014 05:41 PM

It's not as good as the original, but I liked it.

Also, please don't call MJ 'Jacko'. He hated that name and it originates from the press who made up an ignorant, and derogatory, phrase 'Wacko Jacko'.

They weren't just another band. They're the greatest band ever. They are the people that made America sit up and take notice of Britain. They're firmly in the top three artists of all time. They also led the British Invasion. It can't be underestimated what they did for music.

Mystic Mock 18-12-2014 05:54 PM

Yes if it wasn't for The Beatles we never would've had 1D, Westlife, 5SOS, Union J, JLS, and The Vamps, yes how would I ever cope without these bands ever being around.
