Do you agree with her? Do you think fat and unemployed people are lazy?

I think she's a vile bitch to say such things. My sister has been unemployed for over 5 years now and she has been trying, very hard, to get a job. She is far from lazy, and is overweight due to medication.

Yep, many unemployed people actually want to work, and plenty do voluntary work while searching for employment. People who just say "Get a job" expose themselves as being seriously uneducated on the matter. It's not that simple for everyone.

Obviously there is a problem with laziness and obesity in this country but it's the constant haranguing of issues like these rather than more important ones, like corruption within the banking system, racism, gender inequality or the growing disillusionment with politics, that exposes her as a lightweight (if you'll forgive the pun).

I mean anyone with half a brain can work out that the supposed burden that obesity is on the NHS (£4bn in Scotland, can't find any figures for the whole of the UK) must add up to around 20 billion... and benefit fraud adds up to £1bn... whereas the official tax gap (ie. what Google, Amazon, Vodafone, etc etc etc can't be arsed paying, and I'm sure more digging and uncovering will only see the figure rise...) adds up to £35 billion. Enough to cover both of society's heinous evils with money to spare :pipe:

I don't AGREE WITH HER. She has put all overweight and unemployed people in the same boat and cast aspersions on them all. She has insulted some of my friends who have red hair, two friends who are overweight one through medical problems and another friend who has been trying for 2 YEARS to get a job. Horrible vile woman and ANYONE who supports her surely MUST be supporting her views also. I for one would not be able to separate her views from the rest of her its all or nothing

A lot of unemployed people are lazy, of course there are some who are genuine about getting a job ,but lots are happy to live off taxpayers

SOME of them are chuff but if you are talking percentages I would say they are a much lower percent of society. Many many people who have lost their job WANT to work and SEEK work. Someone has NO AUTHORITY to tar everyone with the same brush. She is a complete and utter bitch of the highest order and I cant see ANY redeeming features if I am honest. I have spoken out against many many housemates in the years I have been in these forums but she is TOP OF THE PILE

Just ignore her, she is a pointless waste of space. I have a feeling that fast forward is going to come in very handy this series.

There are very few people I can really say this as to concerning myself but Katie Hopkins from all I have seen and heard from her is someone I don't agree with anything at all on.
More to the point again from all I have seen and heard from her, she is someone I am very glad I have no agreement as to likely anything too.

Whose prejudices and judgements against others who are probably in a far weaker and poorer state than herself,demonstrates to me all that could be wrong in a human being.

A lot of fat people are lazy,a lot of people don't want to work,that cannot be denied,but there are a lot of people who want to work and a lot of people who are overweight from no fault of their own,katie should consider that,as for the remarks about ginger people ,is she serious about that? I think not as that is something nature gives,then you get the fat AND lazy who just sit playing video games or watching TV all day,bet Katie loves them.

And lots aren't. People like Katie don't just have a go at those people, they tar all unemployed people with the same brush.

Just like she acts like all overweight people have the same circumstances. Just like she suggests all people who have a certain name are bound to be bad news. Just like she claims that anyone with a tattoo will find it hard to be successful.

She makes ignorant, and uneducated, sweeping statements with the sole purpose of causing a bit of controversy and attention for herself. This is why I despair at the "She just speaks the truth" line trotted out. She speaks rubbish.

I can honestly say ,the majority of people who live around me who are on the dole have been so for many years and are more than happy to stay that way ,while milking the system

Try moving house cuz it looks like your area is full of deadbeats. They are definitely the minority where I live.

If she's that desperate bro, you can tell her to just get agency work. It's sh*t, usually pays bad and they'll mess her around but it's money.

I think there's a fair amount of truth in it. Obviously you can't apply this to all fat/unemployed people as there are exceptions to every rule, but for the most part she may just be right.

Oh I forgot about the ginger thing. That's even more ridiculous. What a bitch.

Another thing, just because a fat person stuffs their face doesn't mean their lazy.

I'd never recommend that to anyone, you get treated like crap and you can get dropped like a hat at any time. It's far too unreliable to be a good option for a lot of people.
