Is it just me who thinks that she's a hypocrite on this?
I know that the production probably want me to feel this way but here it goes.
Katie goes on about Cami and Chloe being only put in there for two assets which are on display (which is very true on why BB did put them on the show) but how come she doesn't comment on Calum, Jeremy, and Kavana being put in there for those reasons too? Not one of them? She's been a funny contestant so far (if not a little contrived in places) but it really pisses me off when people go on about their gender being put in for their looks, but never about the opposite gender that they themselves fancy, Katie really showed herself up to me there. |
well for starters Kavana is definitely not there for those reasons in my eyes

Really sound post, Mock. Unfortunately it's just another case of institutional sexism. As woman as a whole are viewed more objectively in society, Katie feels as though its acceptable to say that. I also think it's rooted in her having quite traditional conservative views but you're absolutely right Mock, it's totally contrived to accuse one sex of something you wouldn't accuse the other of.

Because she's a woman and she can be as sexist as she likes towards other women.I agree though. It's not right really.
|
she needs to remember she's only in it for having one asset.
pity it's for being a **** and not her ****. |
I agree with you about Calum but tbf Kavanagh first of all isn't remotely attractive so it's definitely not eye candy reasons plus at one time he was pretty famous as was Jeremy
|
She does seem to target females... I haven't seen her ever discredit a male or verbally attack one.

The way she mocked others for being a low calibre of celebrity / not doing much for their "fame" made me roll my eyes. It's like she has no self awareness whatsoever.

She had this whole thing about how she judges people based on the names that they give their kids - hence the Tyler thing. She publicly stated that she looked down on people that give babies place names like Brooklyn or silly celeb names like Apple. But her own kids are named Poppy and India. Which are lovely names, but not according to her own "standards". She'll say whatever gets her the highest chance to be booked onto debate shows for the rest of 2015. It won't matter if its hypocritical or not. |

Katie made those comments because she targets women not men. I bet she hardly has a bad word about any of the men in there but rips into the other women.
I hope Nadia sees this as an opportunity to take Katie down a peg or two. There has already been tension between lets hope it stays like that. |
Katies comments on all things feisty are designed to create a reaction so she wins hands down on that one. Anyone that can make the dole offices seem less attractive and make people think twice about bragging about deliberately ripping off the system is good in my book.
There is nothing wrong in using the system to help if help is needed the right way, but everything is wrong if its being abused to feed habits and promote a lifestyle designed to rip us all off. Not all dole seekers are skanks but there are loads that are and her comments are aimed at them in the main, even though she fails to put it across the right way. |
They're famous for singing/acting/being an itboy. Cami and Chloe are literally famous for their tits. I don't think its quite the same.
The boys are famous and good looking but those girls are famous because they're good looking. |
