Is BB4 really that bad? I've never bothered starting it cause I hear such bad things.

No, not at all. It's easily better than 12 and 15 and probably 10 and possibly even 2

It's boring, i.e no conflict, but by far not the worst. Doesn't help it being in the middle of BB3 and BB5, though.
It's far superior to BB11, BB12, BB15.
I recommend checking it out, though.

I found BB1 to be more boring though, IMO.
However, people like it because "it was the first one" and "it was a social experiment" malarkey.
When I watched it for the first time, a few years ago, it was like watching a VHS from the late 70's. Was it like that when it aired back in 2000?
I turned off after Week 3, and just watched the Nasty Nick Scandal, which was quiet gripping.

No conflict doesn't make BB4 boring because conflict and drama isn't inherently entertaining. And BB1 is actually stellar and deserves all the praise BB3 gets as the best early series ^_^

I think a mix of both conflict and fun is what makes a great series. For example, BB5, or BB7.

Too much of one thing is what makes a series bad. For example too much nice, (BB4), or too much nasty (BB15).

BB6 is the only good series, which was quiet nasty. But the thing is it had comedy elements to it too, which made it funny to watch.

I don't disagree with your first point, but what I was getting at was a series not having drama doesn't automatically make it a bad one, and a series having tons of drama doesn't automatically make it a good one. Drama itself isn't automatically entertaining and there needs to be something more to it, such as some comedy or a righteous takedown of someone.

And BB4 really wasn't a nice series at all lmao that's another common myth that rly needs to be debunked

I don't think BB4 is a bad series. Just not a good one.
To me, it's pretty much there.
