The Justification of Jem Palmer
 

I've slowly been trudging through BB12 and just got through Maisy's eviction, but more importantly just reached the arrival of this beauty:

So just like with Hira, I'm here to give you people some educating as to why this ogre is actually amazing and hopefully convert a few h8rs. Here's a tweet to set the mood:

She was such a hot mess. I think I would have adored her if she stuck by her VT and practically kicked the **** out of Jay like she said :idc:

I commend her for sticking by her sister tho because Faye is my C5 favourite female tbh.

How Jem isnt revered is just beyond me. She was a vehement Aaron-hater who quit to avoid giving him the satisfaction of beating her AND slayed Anton in the process <3

Somehow I've been rather neglectful of this thread so HERE WE GO

~Live Entrance~
-k so right after Maisy is bounced we are introduced to the beautiful ray of sunshine known as Jem Palmer! and holylol her VT was so overly dramatic <3

"My mission is to go into the house and SHAKE THINGS UP. BIG TIME."

"Jay, you seem to think you're the alpha male of the house. Well I got something to tell you: just wait until I get these *points to thighs* around your neck and choke you out. THEN you know who's boss :3"

"There are some cozy relationships in the house --- NOT FOR MUCH LONGER :devil:"

"Did I mention *zooms in on her beautiful face* I'M FAYE'S SISTER."

the whole thing is just a work of art :joker:
-Jem asked for some tap water because all she's had today is Redbull. What a simple lady <3
-she's already making fun of Faye being a ~professional smoker *air puff*~ and telling her that she needs to lay off the alcohol <3 what an overbearing demonness

~Day 29~
-Jem said in her audition tape that Faye only wins when she cheats :joker:
-the Palmer rivalry is already starting because Jem wanted to enter in the sexy dress that Faye wore :o and it takes Jem like five minutes before she becomes the smoking police and tells Faye how silly she looks when she smokes, and that she's aging herself and contaminating her lungs :joker: such a relentless health safety advisor <3
-uh oh! Aaron snuck Faye a cigarette in the toilet and BB announces LOUDLY and ANGRILY that she can't smoke there, and of course Jem pops up all ":o :o :o HAS AARON MADE HER DO THAT???" :joker: Jem already having Aaron's number on her first night <3 such good foresight
-Jem also reminds Faye again that she looks stupid when she smokes and does an impression of her smoking face #toughlove
-Jem reveals in her DR that she was brought up POOR and was thus quiet and bullied, so Faye was spoiled rotten and everyone's still trying to bring her back down to earth smh
-also according to Jem, Faye always wants to have more friends than her and wants all of her championship wrestling belts but Jem is super competitive and doesn't take any of Faye's ****. Show em who's boss Jem!

I am one more ep away from the Jem Palmer experience <3

I will make sure to post hidden gems in this thread where I see fit.

Hopefully I am not disappointed, Jem's upcoming arrival is the only thing that's kept me watching since Heaven was evicted :laugh:

I was watching on Youtube with a proxy but that's because they're the only episodes not on Dailymotion. All the eps from Jem's arrival onwards are on Dailymotion in better quality.

~Day 30~
-Jem has the gag reflex of a trooper, apparently :joker:
-lmfaoooo Jem's throwing so much shade at Faye, like when Faye explains the premise of her kiss and diss secret mission and Jem is all unamused "I bet you liked doing that :\ that's what you do with guys anyway"
-and then Jem turns it around on Aaron and is like WELL HOW DO YOU KNOW HE DOESN'T JUST WANT ATTENTION? and Faye tries to insist that Aaron said nice things about her in the DR and Jem's just all WELL... YOU KNOW HIM BETTER THAN ME AT THE MOMENT SO..... :joker: :joker: :joker: Jem's emotional terrorism is easily a series highlight so far
-omfgggg and then Jem and Aaron are brushing their teeth in each other's company and
Aaron: soooooooo you don't mind about me and Faye, right?

-omfg and then the whole house of cards task is even more amazing than I remember, here are some highlights

Faye: K I GET IT THE FAN TURNS ON WHEN A NEW SONG COMES ON
Jem: I KNOW *Faye impression* DUR DUR DURRRRRRR

Faye: JEM YOU KEEP TOUCHING IT
Jem: with wot.
Faye: YOUR ****ING FAT HANDS!!!!!
Jem: D: D: D: *then starts hysterically laughing lmfaooooooo*

Jem: Do you want me to have a go?
Faye: No, how about you just stop doubting me because I can actually do it better than you can :\
Jem: I understand architecture more than you do :smug:
Faye: JEM STOP BEING A DICKHEAD IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ARCHITECTURE IT'S A ****ING PACK OF CARDS

Jem: *stops stacking cards and starts giggling and looking at the different face values of the cards*
Faye: *flips THE **** OUT* (I'm legitimately dying at this point I can't even express how ****ing hilarious Jem is derping through all the cards nonchalant as ****)

Jem: Alright, you have a go. If you can't do it I'm having a go on my own
Faye: JEM STOP MOVINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG ARE YOU BEING STUPID?!?!?!?!?
Jem: lol then don't sit on me then teehee
-Then after all of this Jem has a super insightful DR session but ruins it all by saying "ya Jay has nice eyes... and tats :) I haven't seen the rest of him tho so I'll have to sneak a peak while he's in the shower ;)" :joker: and then later she goes on about how they have ~charisma~ and ~attractiveness~ in common lmfao this woman is absurd <3

~Day 31~
-Faye and Jem are bickering again because it's the task where they get prizes by throwing the ball at the wall and Faye wants the gym seesion because she hasn't worked out in five weeks but Jem still insists that it's more important for herself <3 and of course Jem won it
-lmfaooooooooo and then Jem gets to choose a gym partner and she chooses... Jay :joker: :joker: :joker: Faye is LIVID and Jem's all ":shrug: you can't lift heaving weights, I can't train you with pressups outside, and besdies Faye's been stuffing her face with chocolate so how bothered can she be? :) she still looks sexy w/o her muscle and weight anyway :)" :joker: I'm ****ing doneeeeeeeee
-lmfaooooooooooooooooo omfg I'm legit dying, Jem keeps going around the house all "WELL IF FAYE WAS THAT BOTHERED SHE WOULDN'T BE STUFFING HER FACE WITH CHOCOLATE" except Jem said that in the bedroom while Faye was under the covers, so of course Faye popped up the **** up and was like "YA KNOW JEM I CAN HEAR YOU I'M NOT DEAF" and Jem's just all "lol oops :)" I'm screaming
-And then Faye was also upset because she won "Nominations" and Jem makes it even better by telling her WELL IF YOU ARE NOMINATED THIS WEEK YOU CAN GO TO A GYM IF YOU'RE EVICTED :) :) :) AND NOW YOU CAN GO LIFT TINS OF BEANS OR SUMFIN :) :) :) I'm ****ing loving the Jem Palmer Experience
-lmfao it gets even better somehow. They have the gym session and Jem is like LOL FAYE AT LEAST YOU CAN WATCH ME AND GET MOTIVATED TO GET BACK IN SHAPE, HUH? :) :) :) and ****ing Faye is of course LIVID and asks why the **** she would ever watch her, and Jem logically responds WELL YOU ALWAYS WATCH ME TO LEARN WHAT TO DO LOL and they yell at each other and then immediately hug <3 only for Jem to ruin the feel-good moment by going LOL ARE YOU COMING TO SHOUT MOTIVATION AT ME :) :joker: unfortunately Faye passes up on that offer but BB treats us to a solid consolation prize of a montage of Jay and Jem working out to Salt-N-Pepa's Push It
-the only other real Jem moment after this workout fiasco is that Faye's FURIOUS that Harry nominated her because she left him a nice message in her goodbye and Jem just goes "K WELL DO YOU TRUST AARON? :) JUST WONDERING" she rly is doing the Lord's work by stirring **** up for no reason about Aaron

~Day 32~
-unfortunately Jem needed a breather after her whirlwind first few days. This episode was ****ty as hell because it was boring nominations with Anton and Aaron and Aden all being awful so it's for the better that Jem was invisible :)

~Day 33~
-Again, Jem wasn't all important to this episode but here's a gif of her and Faye reacting to the blizzard stranded shopping task (juxtaposed with Alex's reaction)

~Day 34~
-Jem had another low=key episode, unfortunately. She defended Faye by saying that she's a respectable woman and then Aaron just goes OH DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER SISTER? LOL WAIT I GET IT YOU MEAN FAYE and it wasn't nearly as funny as he thought it was

~Day 35~
-Jem hyperventilated once Faye was saved from eviction and she also looked like some cowboy mermaid hooker

~Day 36~
-lmaooo Faye told Jem to **** of the bathroom bc she's going to shower naked and Jem responds "OH WELL DON'T MAKE ME OUT TO BE A PERVERT, I DON'T WANT TO LOOK AT THAT ANYWAY" :joker: and then Faye chases her around the house to the DR and Jem just keeps shouting WAIT UNTIL MUM SEES THIS, SHE'LL KNOW WHY THERE ARE PROBLEMS BETWEEN US omfg the Palmers are legitimately psychotic and I'm loving it
-it's pretty clear that Jem's jealous of all the attention that Faye gets. It first came up when Jem talked about how Faye was brought up spoiled and this and that and she's still being brought down to earth, but in their fight today Jem starts mocking Faye like "TODAY'S THE DAY I BROKE UP WITH SOMEONE; TODAY'S THE DAY I HAVE A HEADACHE; TODAY'S THE DAY I'M GOING TO AN INTERVIEW; WHEN IS MY DAY?!?!?!?!" as she's furiously combing her hair in front of the DR door telling Faye to not speak to her because she always has to be subservient to her :joker: it's kinda sad and intriguing but wayyyyyy too funny for me to rly be sad about it, I just want to know more about the Palmers
-and then Jem gets seductively showered with Frosted Flakes #PourSomeSugarOnMe

-k there's a rly gross scene of Aaron pulling his usual emotional bull**** about how Faye ruined their relationship because it's childish to throw frosted flakes around (despite Aaron throwing porridge, doll parts, decks of cards, and teddy bear parts around at different points of the series) and thankfully Faye puts him in his place, but meanwhile Tom and Jem agree that Aaron is poison and Faye needs to run <3
-to add to the intrigue of the Palmers, there are a lot of allusions to *TRAGEDY* in Faye and Jem's lives and how Faye got through a lot of **** and didn't use it as a crutch so again I'm rly curious

Have you go to the moment yet when Jem had a task to burp in Aaron's face :flutter: that was hilarious

~Day 38~
-Jem, petty as always, insists that Faye only fancied Jay at first because she knew that Jem would fancy him :joker:
-awwww and then there's a rly nice Palmer role reversal because Faye's being all sweet and looking after Jem, and Jem's worried about Aaron treating Faye like **** because other guys in Faye's past have and Jem doesn't want him to ruin Faye's experience ;_; so sweet <3
-lmfaoooooooo and then Jem walks in on Aaron and Faye making out in the bedroom and just casually sits down all SO AARON LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION DO YOU RESPECT FAYE?!?!?!?!?! :joker: :joker: :joker: I looooove overaggressive demonic Jem so much <3

not yet :( iirc if happens this week but I only got through Day 39 while I was on winter break and my viewing pace is going to rly slow down until the semester ends so I might not even get there until May :( Jem's been kinda UTR lately though so I've been patiently waiting for that task

~Day 39~
-k Jem didn't rly do anything, but Aaron tried to suggest a housewide speaking ban for more food (of course he did, Aaron entirely operates through speaking bans, hypocrisy, and emotional terrorism) and thankfully Faye and Jem undermined it immediately <3

so yeah, I'm all caught up with where I was. I have a rly busy semester so don't expect anything more than a sporadic update once every few weekends or so but trust me once I finish this semester and graduate I'm banging this **** out so stay tuned babs xxx
