Judging HMs solely on how they are in the house?
 

Do you think that's what everyone should do or do you (like me) think that in order to get the best handle on the Celebrity, you need to take both how they are inside and outside into consideration?

If someone is known for a particular reason, it's fair for that to form part of the judgement. Being semi-decent in the house doesn't erase bad things done out of the house, and therefore it won't push them from my mind.

I'd be willing to judge someone purely based on the show if they acknowledged their faults and genuinely seeked to make amends. Otherwise, no. I don't think we automatically owe them a clean slate if they're not willing to do their bit to achieve that. Redemption is earned.

It's hard to forget your views on them though. Some people have surprised me in the past and not been the are that I thought they would be or not as cool as I thought but I personally do judge on what I already know.

I would go along with this, I think the 'I'm only judging them by what they do in the house' is often just used to conveniently ignore the uncomfortable past that that housemate might have

Most of them I am doing as Ive never heard of them before Cbb (Michelle,Alicia,Kav,Chloe,Cami,Jeremy) Ive heard of Perez, but never seen him in anything or read his blogs

For the likes of Katie for example, I just can't decide oh look she seems like a lovely person in "reality" now I see her on CBB when that makes her completely fake either inside or outside the house and i can't like a person as fake as her

But we don't live with her, we can't say she's being fake ,we've all seen her tweets and chat shows, but did you honestly expect her to be the same all day ,every day ?

Well, I don't like the person behind the tweets and This Morning stints so if that's really her and her thinking then I dislike her for being a vile **** and if that's all an act i dislike her for pretending to be a vile ****

Im a bit half and half on this issue. I loved Perez before he went in for his fearlessness when asking celebs the questions we all want to know etc etc etc. Now judging from his behaviour in the house I am totally disappointed in him specially the night of the Chloe and Jeremy incident when he tried to make it all about himself.

Katie I strongly dislike have always disliked and still dislike no matter how pally pally she gets with the housemates. Her previous comments about sectors of our society will be forever etched in my mind. I do try to give people a chance if I dislike them before they go in but she stepped over my acceptable line months ago.

I think it's good to keep some perspective of what they were like outside of the house when they go in, using Katie as an example, everyone knows her as being this outspoken, 'honest', obnoxious, bullying keyboard warrior, but now she's in there.. she is being - for the most par - a pretty dull housemate, who's keeping quiet and being relatively nice.. so it allows us to see that she is one big faker who can't sustain the image she tries to portray in the media.

So i for one don't like judging celebrity housmates just on what they do in the house.

Yeah, the only way I'd try to give katie a chance is if (as Matt said) she apologised for offensive comments and said she wanted to move on from that otherwise it just means that she really is that nasty and horrible or else is being a fake
