Do people Think Ken meant what he said?

Do you think he meant them or do you think its his game plan for an early exit?

I think its his Game plan as Jeremy said he is a clever man and he doesnt think he meant what he said although he could of gone down a different route to be kicked out rather that use racist terms

Liam- 13-01-2015 11:19 AM

Yes, the disgusting pig of a man meant every word.

TBH You would say that

Liam- 13-01-2015 11:22 AM

Yes because that's my opinion and that's what you asked for :umm2:

Im looking for genuine opinion not ones that contradict themselves

With respect to his comments about the ladies, he was being controversial for the hell of it. The racist comments I think were phrases he has used many times as they flowed off the tongue easily. I still say they were not said with any ill intent, but he still said them.

Pincho Paxton 13-01-2015 11:23 AM

I was like some sort of psychotic breakdown.

Jamesy 13-01-2015 11:24 AM

I don't think he did tbh. I think his 'racist' words were partly serious. His comments about looking at womens arses was obviously all in a joking manner.

He seemed like a wind up merchant, and probably thought it would make good TV (which it has in a way). He didn't go overboard at any point. But he was silly to say all these things as it has ultimately made him look bad.

Wow, someone's rude.

Don't make threads asking for opinions if you're not going to like the ones that disagree with you, jesus christ.

waylander1973 13-01-2015 11:25 AM

Yes he wanted to go early, when it about the wrong way.

Im not being funny but you support housemates even ruder then him

Jamesy 13-01-2015 11:27 AM

We've got to remember he's 71 too. Older people generally do talk about race and blacks in a more stern manner. I've spoken to elderly people who can easily say "that black", the n word and all sorts and not think there's anything wrong with it.

His first conversation with Alexander seemed really genuine. I'm not so sure about the conversations after that conversation and warning though.

Crimson Dynamo 13-01-2015 11:27 AM

meant what?

did he mean that him and Frank Bruno had a laugh together, yes. Does he like women, yes.

Is he a pensioner, yes. Is he not a facebook/twitter generation teen?

yes

jaxie 13-01-2015 11:27 AM

I think a lot of it was deliberate to wind them up but some things he said were a bit in appropriate though I am not sure what he said when he was removed was a kicking out offence since he was only relaying a story about something he said to Frank Bruno as a joke and not actually calling anyone names.

Just ignore him before this turn into a messy argument

MTVN 13-01-2015 11:28 AM

Yep, genuinely thinks he's said nothing wrong and that he's a victim of today's PC mad world

Niamh. 13-01-2015 11:29 AM

I do think he meant what he said but I think he also knew that what he was saying would offend people

I knew a lady who had a cat called ****** when she was a girl. He was named after his colour ****** brown which was a wool colour in those days. (The nig word that can't be typed). They were obviously different times about 50 or 60 years ago. I'm not defending the use of the word just relating that to her it was an innocent use of the word. Anyone in hearing would wince when she said the cats name when relating stories about him.

Rob4 13-01-2015 11:32 AM

I think some of it was meant, some of it was ignorance and some of it was to piss delicate housemates off.

I don't think anyone is denying that but he's not been locked in a cupboard for the the last 50 years either, he knows that those words are offensive to black people, they probably were back then as well

I'm not saying he wasn't wrong, was just relating a story about a bizarre cat and wool colour name from the 1950s.

jaxie 13-01-2015 11:44 AM

I think what he said to Alexander and his remark about black children. I believe the word he used was a slavery reference, and was by far the most offensive thing he said.

I dont think he should have been warned to what he said to the girls

Lee. 13-01-2015 11:47 AM

I just think he's extremely ignorant and thinks because he is part if the older generation, is excused from political correctness.
