The Mirror: Should Perez be removed from the house?

FFS I knew this would happen. People see theres something to kick up a storm about and they run with it rubbing their sweaty little hands together.

Am I wrong in thinking the tabloids are over reacting?

This is Big Brother right?

Poll result: 50/50

Hmm well I can see why that would offend many people because people die from cancer, it is a very SERIOUS ILLNESS, people have lost loved ones etc because of cancer. Not sure if I think it warrants him being booted, though but I can totally see why that subject is sensitive to some people and the kind of reaction that is getting and in fairness.. He probably should have thought before he spoke.

Everyone knows someone whos had cancer, it sucks but BB housemates should be allowed to discuss all topics without fear of being thrown out.

FFS the papers print worse stuff than this on a daily basis and we in general day to day life say things that in that house right now would deem us despicable human beings.

Well if the things you/we say during day to day life would deem we/us "despicable human beings" then that is what we/you are.. I myself dont do/say anything that would make me or make anyone consider me to be a despicable human being or If I did I would DAMN well try to fix that with myself or try my best.

I don't think he was thinking..Before he spoke so I know he did not mean any malice by saying that BUT remember he can also be offending people.

Cancer is a very sensitive subject I have seen people die before my very eyes with it and let me tell you now.. It is a very shattering experience.

I appreciate your desire to allow them more freedom but what will this teach the younger viewers watching? About life? Morals? Manners? Something people have forgotten and which has pretty much broken our society.

To keep on subject no Perez simply was not thinking. No he should not be kicked. But we need to and REALLY need to think about the kind of message we want to send out to the younger ones. Remember he is on national TV it is very different.

Britain...I implore you....stop now....bbus has already been ruined with them afraid to discuss or say anything for fear of being fired/punished. bb is a trashy reality show that shouldn't be treated so seriously. let the celebs say what they want, make a fool of themselves if need be, we eat popcorn and watch. (in what world should anyone really care what perez hilton says?)

The problem is its called a "reality" show. People gonna start thinking thats what reality is like....Anarchy.. Hey I ain't a little boy, but I know whats right and whats wrong. I can get as nasty as anyone face to face or online. Not a threat.

Its an R rated show shown after the watershed, its not meant to be viewed by children and is certainly not there to educate them. If their parents let them watch then that's their fault. Also why do you think a tv show should teach life skills lol you aswell as the viewing public are taking a show way to seriously.

I wont respond in depth to this because I cant be arsed for another PC debate.

BB is an adult entertainment show, a social experiment on how people react and behave and if we think they behave wrongly and are offended then WE vote them out.

That seems fair to me....If you're offended or jumping on the bandwagon of pretending to be offended then vote them out BB has given the public the power to do so.

You have to much honour?

Jesus you really are taking this show far to serious.

Why cant you just enjoy it without thinking about "Oh think of the children, wont somebody pleeease think of the children"?.

Chill out and forget that when you see an offensive comment people may be offended by it. Just enjoy the show its 4 weeks, its a reality show its not the war in Syria!

Mystic Mock 14-01-2015 03:56 AM

What Perez said is offensive, but I don't think he should've been chucked out for it, hell I wouldn't have even given him a warning for it as his not exactly saying or doing anything towards the Housemates in there with that comment.

duclos 14-01-2015 04:19 AM

He didn't say anything that stepped out of the line. Yes it was rude, horrible, and I lost the little respect I had for him, but he still should stay in the house.

Razor 14-01-2015 08:30 AM

Getting silly now.

Vanessa 14-01-2015 08:30 AM

Absolutely not. He's making the show. :nono:

chuff me dizzy 14-01-2015 08:42 AM

A vile, terrible thing to say,but what else do you expect from this creature ? should he be removed ? No ,he should be taken by BB to a hospice and let him see what cancer does to people and their families

Jay. 14-01-2015 08:45 AM

He's done nothing compared to the other two, but yeah... let's just remove any chance of drama/entertainment that this show could possibly have? Then just leave us with Alexander and Keith... :bored:

Denver 14-01-2015 08:52 AM

TBH if every housemate got kicked out for saying something offensive they would all be ejected

THE SAUSAGE DUDE 14-01-2015 09:11 AM

NO a warning Yes. but not kicked out. And here's another thing. if we keep complaining to Ofcon or the like. We won't have any show anymore. unless its something of more concern like Connor on Deana uppal

 100% agree. The reactions are becoming ridiculous.I can't stand Perez but he has'nt done anything as of yet to warrant be kicked.

waterhog 14-01-2015 09:17 AM

a form of expression he was using. why they blow up everything i do not no.

Ellen 14-01-2015 09:20 AM

No he should not be kicked out. Stop trying to censor everything! Good or bad the voting public will judge him on his actions and words.

Pincho Paxton 14-01-2015 09:23 AM

My mom died from cancer 2 years ago, the comment doesn't offend me. It just bothers me that it portrays some hysterical emotions from Parez.
