Ive just e-mailed Ben Frow regarding live feed

The guy is great at getting back to fans and I would like to hear his opinion.

So hears what I emailed.

I know you must hate these e-mails regarding BBUK live feed but as a fan of the show I cannot understand why we are not given more live from the house episodes especially when last night it achieved over 800k and almost 10% share?

What other show rates that well on Channel 5 in the graveyard slot?

This was not a one off either with most Live From The House episodes beating the usual amount of people watching in that timeslot with regular programming.

Fans would be over the moon for a nightly show its obvious more and more people want it and with the current CBB being the most watched in the history of the Channel I cannot understand why the channel wouldn't want to take advantage of that?

I know live feed must be a head wreck to run for all those involved due to censorship and making it harder to edit the show the way the producers want (which we understand is sometimes needed to make the show more entertaining) but its literally 1 hour a night.

Please please find it in your heart to help us BB nerds and we will be eternally grateful.

Dan

PS: Congrats on the success of CBB15 it seems the producers have listened to the fans and stopped outside contact and stripped it back to the dynamics between housemates and its paid off. Thanks for a brilliant show and heres hoping the ratings continue to grow :)

Now to play the waiting game lol.

Bless him, he gets about 3 of these a night from the DS crew!

I'm surprised how they put more effort in CBB, yet they don't give much live feed.

I can understand why for Civvy BB, but they tend to usually put 100% more effort in the celebrity version these days.

zakman440 17-01-2015 05:21 PM

I emailed him once about the possibility of airing an international BB on 5*. He said that he wasn't interested, but in a very nice and polite manor. He seems like a nice guy.

LukeB 17-01-2015 05:26 PM

I emailed him saying that nominations should go back to basics and not have more then 5 up and that

Gusto Brunt 17-01-2015 05:42 PM

I emailed Ben last week and told him to put Katie Price in. Thing is, I was joking.

Yes, he does take notice of fans. Regrettably. :(

emmetmcl 17-01-2015 05:47 PM

One thing to note about the high live feed ratings is that it's probably so high because its a novelty.

However, an hour a night should still see at least 300-400k during celebrity anyway - civillian would be another thing totally.

But in saying that: Bring back 24 hour live feed!!!

daniel-lewis-1985 18-01-2015 01:40 PM

So Ben Frow got back to me.

I'm afraid it's a contract thing - we can't go above 20 hours without extra costs.
Sorry

So its down to cost surely opening phone lines for evictions sooner seeing as they aren't taking advantage of that by leaving it till the day before and selling passes to BB fans for online streaming would easily resolve this?

Why didn't they tell us this years ago? Instead of all this "fans don't need the feed".

Samm 18-01-2015 01:46 PM

lmao "costs" then axe the ****ing summer CBB that none cares about

Denver 18-01-2015 01:46 PM

Live feed cant be that expensive

Jason. 18-01-2015 01:57 PM

Agree with the poster above.

BOYCOTT SUMMER CBB!

How much does it actually cost to run live feed?
Surely scrapping summer CBB would the best thing financially. Save a few £M on the line-up as well as money which goes towards changing the house ever so slightly and tasks, etc.

Not surprised though, didn't BB15 get about 385,000 votes cast in the final?
God knows how much an ordinary eviction gets.

jackc1806 18-01-2015 02:00 PM

What do they mean by 20 hours?

Was going to ask that.
Do they mean 20 hours for the whole series or 20 hours a day?

jackc1806 18-01-2015 02:02 PM

If it was 20 hours for the series they could put one hour a weeknight on? Instead of 45 mins on Fridays?

I emailed back saying about axing summer CBB but I don't think I will get a response to that tbh.

daniel-lewis-1985 18-01-2015 02:07 PM

I also asked if they're allowed 20 hours per series why cant we have an hour of "Live From The House" every weeknight?

never mind all that, where are the youtube vids that we normally have on here??

daniel-lewis-1985 18-01-2015 02:54 PM

There are 17 weeks of BB a year.

It's funny, all I ever get is complaints...

I got this e-mail after actually praising him and the production team on a brilliant series. A fair point though I guess he must get a **** load of crazed fans who blame him for no live feed.

I apologised and said I will tell the forum to shut up and enjoy the series for now lol.

LukeB 18-01-2015 02:55 PM

why hasn't he emailed me about my nominations email
