Michelle Visage is misunderstood
Is it just me who thinks that some of the public don't understand what Visage is about? It is so easy to call her a bitch who keeps banging on about the LGBT community...
Michelle works for the drag community and is an advocator of rights and social justice, for the LGBT community; she is using the BBUK experience didactically as a method to share knowledge and represent the drag world. (which to most people is an alien continent) When Alicia was evicted she said that Michelle didn't say to her face that she was not being strong enough, I remember her telling Alicia to be a stronger woman in the living room. Michelle only speaks when she finds it necessary unlike Nadia who creates arguments by her irresistible role of "argument defuser" she feels she has to play. I feel Michelle is the most just person in the house, although I have reservations towards Hopkins..I think Michelle deserves her praise but people don't get it. Maybe its just me because I love Michelle???? I dont know :hehe: |
lol
drag community there is no community |
Michelle Visage is disappointing not misunderstood.

The voice of reason? You are obviously unaware of the huuuuge fanbase in which her show has here in the UK and in America. Visage and Jonathan Ross are creating a British drag show once she finishes Big Brother. :) |
If what you say is true about her and her intentions, then all I can say is she's being a big failure as far as I'm concerned.
I don't care - she's not the worst HM in there. If people feel supported by her then fair enough. In the house she hasn't done anything to make me feel she is the person I should turn to for education -far from it in fact. I can't find anything of her outside the house that gives me much clue except being told she's an activist. She doesn't come across as greatly deep or flexible in her thinking therefore some of her statements probably don't have the effect she might wish them to (apart from on those that already love her for whatever reason). If she only speaks when necessary then I am even more disappointed by what she considers it necessary to say from what I've seen. Not impressed by her, but I don't have anything against her. |

Mm, i agree.. I think if the moment came she would rise to it. I think perhaps Katie Hopkins sees her as a threat, being a fellow alpha-female strength in numbers  |

i think people have confused her pretend persona on the drag race programme with who she is in real life?
|
I think she's one of the most two-faced people in there.
If Hopkins likes you, Michelle likes you. If Hopkins hates you, Michelle hates you. On Live Feed last night she kept going on about how she was gutted that Alicia left. Yet, she nominated her. Funny how she began to like Alicia, when she began to get along with Hopkins. I can guarantee you, if Hopkins and Hilton make up, Michelle would be on him like a rash. Not keen on loyal sheeps. |
Since Alexander left there has been a distinct change in the dynamics. The house blamed Perez rightly or wrongly and since then Michelle has completely lacked any kind of backbone IMO. She doesnt like Perez but surely as a strong character she cant agree with some of the behavior toward him. I was expecting her to step in a couple of times but during the debates in particular she showed nothing at all. Very disappointing.

I don't think she's misunderstood at all. I think nearly every single person watching the show understands what she does and what she believes in, I'm certain that anybody disliking her right now have other reasons to do so.

Outside of this show I liked Michelle and had high hopes for her. But she has been a massive disappointment in terms of being a fun house mate and being independent.

She's doesn't speak or represent any community no matter what she preaches. Her ego is absolutely insane. That was one of the main things that put me off her. She's a self-righteous know it all. :idc:

I'm confused by what she means by "drag queen"? A drag queen is not a transvestite but usually a man who dresses up in women's clothes and make-up to entertain an audience. I think she's calling transvestites drag queens...am I wrong? |

With you totally with that comment. My sentiments exactly. It wouldn't change my attitude whether she was closer to others in the house or not. There is actually no 'guilt by association' issue with my perspective on her....she would still stand alone as a pompous, self-righteous blusterer in my opinion. |
I think she misunderstands herself to be honest.
