Disappointing
I liked her a lot when she first went in but I have increasingly found her a disappointment the more of her we see. For someone who claims to uphold the rights of others she has embedded herself into a small clique who seem to feel that the rest of the house should have no voice unless dictated by the clique.
When she says things like Perez will put gay rights back 50 years I can't help feel she assumes that the public judge everything based on someone's sexuality which is odd. I couldn't care less what sexuality Perez is, it has nothing to do with his personality. Whether I like him or not has absolutely no bearing on how I will feel about anyone with the same sexuality as him. In fact I don't know that who he chooses to love or be sexual with is actually any of my, Michelle's or anyone else's business really. My sexuality doesn't define me, why does Michelle assume Perez sexuality defines him? |
Yeah, I don't like those comments either about gay rights. I have no doubt she's done great things for the gay community but when you start saying that one person on a reality TV show is representing the entire gay community, full of individuals with different personalities then I think that's quite insulting

She is a typical tv presenter and fame *****. She is riding on the back of a bike that she knows makes her dish, so its no surprise that she wants to win. I strongly suspect she is a hypocrite due to her treatment of the gays in there. She never supports them or even questions why Perez is dicking around. Why hasn't she pulled him to one side and lectured him, all she does is slate him.
Nah....Visage is all about money, power and visage. She is not that cool or good in my book. I much prefer cami to her. |

I like her, have liked her since week one and I don't see any of the reasons you all point out for not liking her but each to their own. She is my winner and if Katie P and Cami were in the final with her I would be thrilled. Add Calum to the mix and get rid of the others and I would be over the moon. Michelle has been closer to the women in there than the man but I have heard she is brilliant in the field she works in and all the GLT people adore her. Anyway I may be in the minority here but she is my number one

I'm sure she's devastated.

Michelle, and Keith are not rising to show us what they can do. But Michelle hasn't been given a task has she? So she might still brighten up a bit.

What about when you post a negative opinion on a housemate? Do you expect them to be devastated? I agree OP, she's definitely disappointed me. The gay crusade thing doesn't bother me as much as it clearly does a lot of others, I get that she has good intentions, but the fact that she hasn't really stuck to her "I support the misfits and the outcasts" thing does. She didn't seem to object to Alicia's treatment at the hands of her close friends. |
She's certainly not as forthright and as strong as she continually proclaims she is.
For all her talk, particularly to Alicia and Katie P, regarding being strong and expressing what you truly believe in she sure does shrink when the opportunity for her to speak up arises. Her Diary Room entries where she states that she disagrees on occasions with Hopkins are very much evidence of that. Claiming it's not her place to speak up against Hopkins due to the friendship they have is ridiculous, it's all well and good being chummy with your mates, but disagreeing at times is inevitable. See Nadia reprimanding Perez on occasions. Last night i very much feel that when she was applauding Katie P for speaking her mind it was in fact more of a grateful appreciation that Katie P expressed an opinion that Michelle believes in but has failed to address. I reckon she'd have been a far better HM if she never created such a strong bond with Hopkins. |
I never had a high expectations of her so I'm not disappointed. I'm sceptical of someone who feels the need to mention how they stand up for people. Isn't that what you are supposed to do anyway. It's like people who say "I take care of my kids". What do you want, a cookie?

Michelle is entitled to stay out it. |
i know a lot of gay people are outraged by Michelle pretending to be their spokesperson, even though she's not gay, and then defending, enabling and endorsing a homophobe. I think they're a little more than disappointed
But most people haven't heard of her and will forget about her once it's done. Not disappointing, just irrelevant and bland |
She's so boring.
|
Shes been the most boring one in there for nearly a fortnight now, shame really. I like her.
