Are you nosy? Be honest now...

What the title asks, are you nosy?

I must admit I am really nosy, I always look out of window and if I see something going on where I live (which is pretty rare) then I go next door to my neighbour, who happens to be my aunt (because she is the definition of nosy) to find out all the info.

I only use fb to be nosy really too apart from to speak to relatives that live far away all I do is scroll through the status updates and then log back out

So how nosy are you?

DemolitionRed 05-02-2015 08:11 AM

I like to keep up with all the gossip from friends but I don't have friends who are spiteful **** stirers, so the gossips not malicious. I am really nosey on FB. I have heard that more enemies will regularly look you up on FB than friends.

Hahaha I think that's probably true tbh

I don't look anyone up on fb or that I just nosy at the statuses of people that's already on my list.

I have one friend that asks quite personal things to everyone on fb, like things I like to keep private I tend to just ignore her when she asks me anything these days.

Not at all. I use binoculars to see what say that van is doing down at the bottom of my drive or to see if the binmen have been but i could care less about the goings on of others.

The other day waiting for the school bus one of the 2 mums that also wait asked me about a nearbye property for sale, I had no idea about it but she had been online and and got all the details about it (she was not interested to buy just fecking nosy!).

Actually the 2 mums that wait for the bus and I have been going down there for 2 years and i still dont know their names. I think its a by-product of being unfriendly.

Urgh, School-run mums. I do the morning school run quite often and it's a true game of skill. Timing it just right so that we get there just as the bell rings (no standing around) and then I sort of duck and dodge my way quickly out of the school grounds before anyone has a chance to make eye contact.

I am quite nosy in many ways to be fair. I can't stand hearing one side of a phone conversation, as soon as they put the phone down I'm like "......... So..... What was that about then??" if it sounded interesting or heated. Haha.

LemonJam 05-02-2015 10:38 AM

Definitely  recently there was an argument between two women on the bus and I took off my headphones to listen in and they both glared at me until I put them back on. Awks.

smudgie 05-02-2015 10:40 AM

Very nosy, or as I like to call it, inquisitive.
Nothing better than a bit of juicy gossip.
I also look online at houses for sale. I just have a general interest in house prices, decor etc.

Yeah I always wear my earphones on the train, but if something interesting is going on I... I turn off my music... But I keep the earphones in and stare out of the window so that it looks like my music is still on and I can't hear them. But I am LISTENING!

:( the shame...

It is deffo a woman thing

GypsyGoth 05-02-2015 01:48 PM

I'm not that nosy, I'm not a fan of being talked about so I don't do it to others. However at work I do kinda watch the customers, and sometimes it's impossible not to overhear their conversations. On buses I usually read and have my earphones in so I won't be distracted by people talking.

Also I wouldn't read through someone's diary or journal or look through their pics without their permission.

Yes and no.

If I hear neighbours having an argument, I'll try to ignore them because I just find it annoying. However, if I see an argument breaking out on a Facebook status, I'll read all the posts and basically just sit there watching it unfold ... and then get disappointed when the status is deleted mid-argument. It's like someone switches off a show I'm watching before it's finished.

Liam- 05-02-2015 01:51 PM

In the general sense of looking out of the window whenever there's an argument outside, then yes i am incredibly nosy because i like to know whats going on, purely for perspective :hehe:

Kizzy 05-02-2015 01:52 PM

No, I hate people prying so I try not to do it to anyone.
If someone wants me to know something they'll tell me.

LukeB 05-02-2015 01:52 PM

Yes I like to look at my mother letters and stuff

and I sometimes look outside but nothing ever happens

Natalie. 05-02-2015 03:42 PM

I am sometimes, sometimes I'm not bothered and too in my own world.
I wouldn't look at peoples personal/private things

Jamesy 05-02-2015 03:55 PM

If there's something going on outside in the street I'm one of 'those' people that has a peek to see what's going on.

Other than that I try to respect peoples privacy. Although in some situations, especially with close friends/family, you cannot help but ask for more details.

I don't really feel nosy looking on Facebook half the time mainly because its peoples own faults for plastering their personal lives all over social media.
