Stupid idea from an idiot who you wouldn't trust to do a paper round.

I have noticed more and more at supermarkets and petrol stations that they now say "do you want a receipt?" and more and more folk say nah dont bother

All his cronies in Westminster, on both sides of the house, should heed that from him then the next time any of them are receiving thickly stuffed manila envelopes in the foyers of luxury hotels - be prepared to write out a receipt.

joeysteele 16-02-2015 11:12 AM

Probably misquoted in part but it was a question that really whatever answer anyone gave would likely sound a bit daft.

I wouldn't buy anything however without getting a receipt, that's just how I am I guess.

Obviously buying from relatives or someone I knew was handing things on they had for a small price,I am however maybe too suspicious, I like to know where things come from and have a receipt to show from where and who I got it from.
To all politicians of all parties,I would say beware and be ony our guard when saying anything in this nightmare of a way too long 'unofficial' election campaign.

The media are looking for the slightest and most ridiculous things to twist and turn to their own agendas, whatever leaning they may be.
Equally anyone doing any work for me as to garden etc; or being paid to move something, I would get acknowledgement at least from them that they had been paid.
I just like things to be in order and accounted for.

I'd want more than a tenner for cutting his hedge.

In the news today
Ed Balls has a Window Cleaner
for 17 years
& never given any receipt

billy123 17-02-2015 11:22 AM

I made two contactless purchases yesterday where you wave your card at a paypoint and a receipt isnt even an option.
Not that i would want one anyway.
Bloody dinosaurs.

The mud slinging in the run up to an election is so moronic though but idiots seem to lap it up.

I don't bother for consumables (I'm unlikely to be returning a roll of toilet paper or a mars bar) but I've seen people turn down receipts for things like electrical appliances, which is just mad. If you get it home and it doesn't work, and you said no to a receipt, then you're stuck with it

The window cleaner I use where I live always gives me a slip with 'paid' on it.
I would also ask for one if they didn't.
Just a simple acknowledgement for me anyway, that they have been paid and also the work done.

Absolutely.
Alot of stores will just flatout refuse to take a return without a receipt.
