Elizabeth is missing

I thought i'd share this brilliant read with you all.

Elizabeth is missing by Emma Healey.

It's written from the viewpoint of an 82 year old lady called Maud, she either suffers from dementia or Alzheimers (she has not been given a diagnosis in the book).

She flits as she remembers her life post war, living with her family, to being an elderly lady today.

I found that this is the closest you can get to understanding what it must be like to be living with dementia/Alzheimers.:wavey:

I read this last month... It was a beautiful, poignant, real, tragic and challenging read. So well written, and emotionally charged for me. I watched my grandma go down with this disease, and I drew way to many similarities... Horrific events from her past got brought up that I had no idea about.

The book will resonate with me for a long time
