I use to have a teacher that would always talk about how annoying Americans were and I used to get so pissed off. He knew I was American, but didn't care. Keep your personal thoughts out of what you're teaching.

I disagree, it's the teacher's job to make sure the students aren't misinformed about the world around them. Plus, there's nothing wrong with a teacher telling it straight, as long as they're not constantly doing it with the same person.
