[The girls were last seen on Tuesday morning as they left their respective
homes telling their families they would be out for the day.
Instead they met and travelled to Gatwick airport and boarded
a Turkish Airlines flight which landed at Istanbul later that evening.
The missing girls are Shamima Begum, 15, Kadiza Sultana, 16, and a third female aged 15
who is not being named at the request of her family.
The three girls are pupils at a school in east London and are close friends. ]

They're in for a real shock if they do end up "brides to ISIS killers". I do feel a bit sorry for them, I don't think at 15 you have a proper grasp of real life

Its amazing how 15 year old girls
find Isis Killers as sexy.

It must be a slick Isis Army video
that has hooked them to this future?

If these girls are rebellious enough to leave their country without saying a word to their families etc how are they going to cope once they're treated like prisoners by their new husbands? I don't think they realise what exactly they're getting themselves into

Helen 28 20-02-2015 01:15 PM

Obviously radicalised, it can happen in weeks.

arista 20-02-2015 01:15 PM

I agree Arista, and feel genuine sympathy for their families, but I feel that these girls will be intercepted and saved - if it is not already too late.

Tom has a very valid point of just why three girls of that age travelling to Turkey unchaperoned have not aroused suspicion or set alarm bells ringing.

And what the feck are they doing with the amounts of money necessary to fund such a jaunt at their ages?

[Shamima Begum at Gatwick Airport.
The girls then boarded a
flight to Turkey before going to Syria]

How did you get on here when you were 9 years old?

Young people have more freedom now than they've ever had before, it's not really that shocking they've managed to do this. They're in for a rude awakening if they get to their end destination.

Vanessa 20-02-2015 05:47 PM

Don't they need their parents consent to travel abroad? :suspect:

I thought so Vanessa. It may just be me, but something just doesn't sit right with me about all this.

It just sounds really odd.

I'm not sure of any legal restrictions and most airlines seem pretty liberal with children flying alone from googling it, I bet a lot of teenagers travel alone to visit family and things like that. With one of them being 16 I'm sure they had no problem

That seems crazy to me. Perhaps it's time the government instructed airlines and airports to be vigilant for young girls like this flying unchaperoned to IS linked destinations. Better safe than sorry in these insane times. I don't fancy their chances of returning home undamaged - if at all - if they make it to their destination. So even one child who is stopped will make it worth setting up some sort of vigilance scheme.

Crimson Dynamo 20-02-2015 06:20 PM

as long as we dont let them back in all will be fine

girl bye
