A piano should be dropped on top of Dot on Valentines day and then it turns out that everyone did it because she kept banging on about God and psalms and all they wanted to do was go home and shag their Mrs'.

I'd be hooked from start to finish.

Make it someone who's not been a suspect before. Like one of the Fox's, or one of the Buthers perhaps.

I'd rather a big disaster, think the tram crash on Corrie or the big Plane crash on Emmerdale.

Yeah that's a good idea, Lucy was never a huge character but once they killed her it was still interesting, so killing off a minor character works well.
