USA Terror Arrests : Plot to kill President Obama

[Three Brooklyn residents have been arrested on charges
of conspiracy to provide material support to Islamic State.
Akhror Saidakhmetov, 19, from Kazakhstan, was detained on
Wednesday morning at John F Kennedy International Airport,
attempting to board a flight to Istanbul, say authorities.

The FBI says Abdurasul Hasanovich Juraboev, 24, of Uzbekistan,
had a plane ticket to travel from New York to Istanbul on 29 March.
Another Uzbeki, Abror Habibov, 30, who is accused of operating a
domestic support network to fund Saidakhmetov's efforts, was arrested in Florida.]

[The accused allegedly offered to kill President Obama or machine-gun FBI
agents if they were unable to fly to join the jihadists.]

:joker: Not at all T.S - I said he was a Muslim, which he undoubtedly is, but he is not a closeted extremist and his sympathies probably align more with the 27% of UK Muslims who expressed 'sympathy' for the reasons behind the Paris shootings' (whatever that means :conf:).

We do not know all the story yet T.S. but Obama has always publicly denied he is a Muslim and always publicly claimed to be a Christian, so perhaps these Jihadist knobheads are just so thick they believe him. In any event, even if they accept he is a Muslim - he is also President of The United States which means he is probably extreme Islam's greatest enemy, and since when do Islamic Fundamentalist Extremists shirk from slaughtering other Muslims? They're doing it in the tens of thousands on a daily basis.

I'm just so happy they've caught the mental bastards. I do hope though that they treat them kindly - NOT. :joker:

I read that Obama was a great fan of the show Homeland and had Damian Lewis and Claire Danes to dinner. While they were they he asked them to sign the box set of the show. Claire Danes wrote "I've been a fan of yours much longer than you've been a fan of mine". Damian Lewis panicked and wrote "From one Muslim to another".

Amusing and on topic.

Hey, well done on understanding my spoilered post! I just read it back and it made no sense at all.

I did enjoy the last series of Homeland even without him though, and I didn't think I would. Did you watch Wolf Hall? He was so good in that.

Off topic... forgive me.

Yeah, kind of about Anne Boleyn, more about Thomas Cromwell and his relationship with Henry. I highly recommend it.
