You made an off topic comment about abortion

Kizzy 24-03-2015 01:40 PM

I'm not advocating smoking in any way but babies don't breathe in the womb or use their lungs at all.

Maybe he's just got a bit of an itch

Livia 24-03-2015 01:49 PM

Smoking puts thousands of toxins straight into the blood, it doesn't have anything to do with the baby "breathing". Nicotine narrows the blood vessels, including those in the umbilical cord, disrupting the supply of oxygen to the baby and affecting growth and development. Smoking while you're pregnant is seriously stupid.

:clap1::clap1::clap1: You saved me posting Liv. Cig smoke also contains numerous chemicals known to cause cancer. Stupid indeed.

Tbh any Mother smoking whilst pregnant is very irresponsible imo as they know the risks and it's very selfish to then still go ahead and smoke.

smudgie 24-03-2015 07:16 PM

I smoked all the way through both My pregnancies..as did most smokers of the day.
However, had the knowledge available now been known then it would have made all the difference.

A relative of mine gave birth to gorgeous girl eight months ago, smoked while pregnant for the whole nine months. Now she's a bit concerned that the baby is quite small for her age. Hmmmmmm!!! I didn't have the nerve to say anything
