But Hog as its Live no ads things can go wrong Feel The Force |
Even over 2 hours, it is just too many people there, if they start bickering between themselves and Nigel Farage for one, loves to go on, not always wrongly or talking nonsense but he does have the knack of getting a major talking point going that needs a lot of expanding on.
Then in that case, the time will soon disappear and very little will be learned at all from any of them. Looking forward to Nicola Sturgeon definitely, she is my current favourite leader of the lot of them at present. If I lived in Scotland, she would have my vote for the SNP. |
I hope it not to diversionary, if she can prevent them flying of on tangents and refrain from personal comments then it might work...Keep paxman away :/

yes a Rising Star |
what they need to do was ask them all the same question record the reply giving them so many seconds each and show them all - this will take allot of time but this is what we all need to no and we might have to sacrifice time to get the replys we need to hear.
|
Hook them all up to lie detectors... that would be worth a look :)

Here's the line up... 'ITV reveals who speaks in what order in Thursday's leaders' debate ITV has released details of what order the seven party leaders taking part in Thursday’s debate will speak. The seven will each get the chance to make an opening statement. There will be four questions during the two-hour programme, with each leader getting a minute to answer before it opens up for an 18-minute debate. Then there will be closing statements at the end.' http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/...dersdebate.png http://www.theguardian.com/politics/...ign-trail-live Farage and cameron getting the last words in closing?... :suspect: |

I have had an interesting conversation this morning with a group of people on the election and these debates and they said something I can agree with.
This debate will be interesting but voters will be likely wary of who does best in them, since in the last debates Nick Clegg won a lot of people over but was then found after the election and over the years since, to have talked virtual nonsense as to what he would support and what the Lib Dems stood for too. It may well be people could think, well I loved Nick Clegg in these debates before but then he completely did a backward step on all he said. I really hope the questioning will be as to policy, with so little time and so many leaders there,to allow time to be wasted on any petty nonsense questions would be a disaster in my view. I'm not sure this will work actually, too many people involved, and today it was mentioned there may be a free for all between the 7 leaders for one part of the programme possibly too, well that is a recipe for disaster and will need a really good and strong presenter of this debate, which I don't think it has. All that aside, I am looking forward to it. I do also think David Cameron will be dreading having to deal with Nigel Farage. I really think Ed Miliband will need his wits about him too but he knows his stuff and the good thing is he doesn't flinch from that even in the midst of opposition and criticism. Nicola Sturgeon for me will on paper be the star of this debate, with the exception of trident, I just about agree with every word she says politically at present and every policy the SNP have. Sadly there doesn't seem to be going to be enough time to really take on Nick Clegg as to his massive betrayal of so many who put their trust in him. So hopefully he comes out of this debate as irrelevant to decent politics as he is before he goes into it. |
I literally cant wait for it!
|
I'm feeling much more positive about this and really am looking forward to it, if it's another carve up with useless, benal or personal questions I'll not be happy.
Personally I feel Ed is going to shine here where others may struggle. |
Was reading the other day that Plaid Cymru are only polling at 15% in bloody Wales, absolute joke that they are getting equal standing with actual major, UK wide parties. And yet the DUP are excluded who are going to win more seats than Ukip, the Greens, and Plaid at the next election
|
Do you believe the 'do not directly compete with the main parties' excuse?
I think more will vote for them as a result of the exclusion. |
