Yes people are not doing as much DIY anymore as the things we own become less repairable

Probably a reflection of the lower number of young home owners or first time buyers.

I read that many cities and large towns have more than one B&Q and the Kingfisher group will be removing those from places that have more than one and replacing them with ScrewFix which is also owned by Kingfisher.

Oh that's ok then, maybe the staff can just transfer?

Use Homebase and a small local DIY store and Wilkos just because they're nearer to me.
