I never get involved in anything or take any notice of it at all anyway,it is just April 1st, another first day of a month for me.

Apparently I heard in the news that the Govt was going to be forced due to European legislation to change the rules relating to the current Calendar due to the metric system.

They are going to insist starting from next year we make the first day of each month the "0" of the Month and the 1st will effectively become the second day of the Month.

This is due to the metric system where the number "0" is actually the first whole number.

More Euro meddling..................Grrrr !!!!

This was the best ever April Fools day hoax - from a time when people knew how to enjoy a bit of humour (even though a great number of the public FELL FOR IT!:laugh:)

Yes, it's rather pointless, just one day a year for people to try and be funny, but fail... also, if April Fools is a must, then shops should not be allowed to stock silly string for devil minions to buy and use as they will :nono:

I tried to tell my 5 year old that when cats grow up they become dogs. She was like "Ooooh, intersssting" as I continued to explain, then after a few minutes of me waffling on she said "Daddy, I know it's just an April's Joke you know..."

I think it's becoming a bit outdated now.

It's easier to spot what is an April fools these days, so many people make really dire attempts at it too it's just embarrassing for them more than anyone else. Humour is all good and I like a laugh as much as the next person. But half of what I've seen today has been people/sites/companies trying to create a very serious story for jokes lolz, and it's just... not funny.

Wouldn't it be great if someone was adopted, and their birthday was April 1st, and they didn't know they were adopted, and then on their 18th birthday the adoptive parents were like, "18 YEAR APRIL FOOLS you're adopted and you were found on a doorstep so no one knows your exact birthday"
