The dog is obviously really good natured but the owners/parents of this baby are ****ing idiots. First off to let their child hit and bite the dog like that but mostly to trust a dog (and a powerful dog like that) enough to let their baby stick his face right in the dogs while he's hitting him

I like this comment though

Dog with a heart of gold...owners with **** for brains.

Pretty much sums it up.

I wouldn't let a child smack a dog like that. I know the kid probably doesnt know how to stroke a dog properly but that's the parents look out. You teach them.

I taught Eva how to stroke ruby and she's 11 months old but at the same time I'm always wary of Ruby because before Eva came along, she had no dealings with kids and she was a bastard for the first few months.

They are a placid breed with their own family but really it beggars belief that they would let the baby do that, film it and take a chance. It makes you shudder.

I know nothing about dogs but it doesn't look very cute D:

Ammi 02-04-2015 11:19 AM

..that's extremely disturbing, the dog could have harmed the baby in a split second before anyone could have stopped it happening..no matter how good natured it is, there could still have always been a trigger and it could turn on the child and both the child and pet could have lost their lives...unbelievably stupid...

Suze 02-04-2015 12:11 PM

Lovely dog, idiotic parents.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 02-04-2015 12:16 PM

So... keeping a wolf-cross as a family pet, and then keeping that wolf in a cage, and then allowing a child to get close enough to the cage for the animal to bite off its finger? Add to all that the fact that this moron has access to a gun and honestly, words fail me.

Disgusting parenting. I don't care if the dog has been around babies since birth!!! or the dog has never even growled at anyone!!! or the dog was bloody raised by babies!!!1, etc, ANY dog can attack a baby. It's not rocket science. Don't EVER leave your child with a dog on its own and for goodness sake, don't let your baby slap a dog around the face. I know a baby slap probably doesn't even hurt the dog, but it can still irritate it/scare it, whatever. Even though that child is just a baby, it can still be told not to hit to dog.

Also, on another note, that dog is the ugliest dog breed to ever exist. I even made a thread on it once.

Livia 02-04-2015 12:54 PM

Awww I don't think they're ugly. I don't think any dogs are ugly.

Vanessa 02-04-2015 12:59 PM

What a lovely dog.

My exact thoughts Ammi.
Shame parents don't have to pass a test before having kids.

What a beautiful natured dog,it deserves better owners,I would be teaching that baby not to slap it at the very least, I would not allow the child to be loose with it like that, the parents are effing irresponsible imo.

Kizzy 02-04-2015 01:14 PM

It was sweet but taking a huuuuuge risk, dogs teach puppies who get a bit boisterous by nipping... if it had done this then?

This,^ the only ugliness I see in this world are human.

jennyjuniper 03-04-2015 06:00 AM

Beautiful dog. Idiotic parents. It's a very patient dog and eventually it's had enough and removes itself to a chair. But what happens in a short while when the child can walk and the dog can't get away when it's had enough?
