Improvements to subscribed threads
 

I think that on this forum there should be more ways to access threads that you pay extra attention to. I am going to get straight to the point. Here are the options I have thought of:

1) Each user having their own personal stickied threads.

This feature would allow for users to sticky threads in the same way that moderators and forum administrators do, although these threads would appear stickied only to the user who has stickied the thread. All threads that have been stickied would appear at the top of the 'New Posts' section for easy access.

2) Allow users to toggle forum notifications on specific threads.

So, you know how when someone sends you a friend request.. or a message whether it be private or on your profile, you get a little notification pop up in the top right corner under your name. I think there should be a way for users to enable notifications the same way for when someone replies to a thread. This could be limited to anyone posting or perhaps there could be a way to have the messages appear only when certain users post on that thread.

I know this thread is really serious and punctualised and whatever but I figured that is the easiest way to actually get the point across rather than spam it up with gifs and smilies. Mods, what do you think? :laugh:

Have things really gotten so bad that when people make a normal post they have to explain the lack of gifs
