Definitely act differently.

When i drink somehow i can access some parts of my brain that make me clever, which are hidden while I'm sober because I'm normally thick as ****.

Act differently,which is not always a good thing.

I think the real person comes out when people are drunk. For example they say things they really think..which they would hold back on when sober. Alcohol removes peoples internal filter.

A little bit of both to be fair but it depends on the context and just how drunk they were.
