How do we feel about Ronaldo now 6 months later?

Well, after some superb displays for my hate squad United, he's turning corners in the premier league, but for me Ronaldo will never change my opinion of him, what he did at the world cup cost us any chance, I'd come up with an appropriate word but I've just come back and be hate to be banned. A few weeks ago he was blown off his feet by the wind of 2mph and got a major penalty against Middlesborough. A week later Bernado Corradi of Manchester City, was given a little more contact, and was sent off for "diving" so why do United fans condone Ronaldos childish antics? Is Ronaldo really forgiven, watching MOTD on Saturday night it seems the panel of Linekar, Shearer etc still hold the grudge against him for his amazingly childish antics in the 2006 world cup. Does anyone still hold the same opinion I do? Just digging up and old grave and I'm sure Stropz has something on this  and Elz_Belz to:whistle:

My opinion is still pretty much the same, he's a very talented player but he's still a cheat. He really does not need to get involved in all those antics because he is such a good player.

My opinion is still the same... He's a national hero ffs!

He was just the scapegoat.

Well, him and Sven.

Not that you had much chance in the first place, to be honest.

I think England's team was over-rated to begin with.

Ronaldo was a bit of a twat, and I still think that, but there are thousands of others that would have done the same, so I don't particularly hold a grudge against him.

Ronaldo did something wrong, but lets be honest - he didn't cost us any chance we may have had in the first place. We did that ourselves and we're treating Ronaldo and Sven like a scapegoat. In the end, he's an overall good player despite some of his antics.

he is a good player

but also a cheat

I just noticed that part.. hahaha.. I must have been half asleep last time I read this!

I still think he's an idiot for his involvement in Rooney's red card (mainly because there teammates) but i admire him for how he stuck at Manure and proved his quality.

He still goes down far too easily though, and i'll always hate the Portuguese.. footballing wise. They were a disgrace to the world cup.

stacey 01-01-2007 05:51 PM

hes a really good player but plays like a cheat too

I used to really like him, but now I have the same viewpoint as you to be honest.

As a player i like him, but im still annoyed at what he did at the world cup. So far for me he's been the best player in the premiership this season.

Razmataz 01-01-2007 07:10 PM

 That went down well then.

And we did have a chance of winning the world cup Lance, just a shame we were the only british nation in the damn thing ey?

Stropz? Scottish pride ey

And It's good to be back.

Yes, it's a shame Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland didn't make it.

And, of course, the Republic of Ireland (which is, as you know, not part of Britain)

Although, look at it this way. What's the population of England compared to ROI, Northern Ireland, Waled and Scotland? Does anyone know the ratios?

I know that the whole of the UK's population outnumbers that of the ROI by almost 15:1. So, therefore, for every 15 football teams you produce, Ireland produces 1. Therefore, for every team you produce, we produce one player.

Hence, your chances of qualifying are far greater than Irelands.

But, being as clever as you are, I'm sure you already knew that and took it into consideration when you made the above-quoted statement.

Yeah, what he said..

And, yeah Ryan.. Scottish pride..

'mon the Scots!! :thumbs2:

What's with the rolly eyes, by the way?

It did go down well, people are discussing it. Just because they don't agree with you doesn't mean it's not going down well.

lily. 01-01-2007 08:45 PM

Yeah, otherwise none of my threads would be "going down well". Since everyone argues in the ones I make... Can't think why that happens..
