Jamelia, high street stores should NOT sell plus size clothing
'Loose Women panellist Jamelia has sparked controversy after insisting that shops should not stock clothes for obese women.
In a discussion about overweight teenagers, the 34-year-old mother-of-two said that obese women 'should feel uncomfortable' about their unhealthy size, and that high street stores should not be catering for them. She said: 'I do not think it's right to facilitate people living an unhealthy lifestyle, in the same way I don't believe that a size zero should be available - it's not a healthy size for an average woman to be.' Well, so much for advertising and media making young people obsess about their weight, now we have light entertainment presenters demonising the obese. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...s-comment.html |
Yes Jamelia, let's have larger people walking around naked instead. :umm2:
What a dumb, silly, irresponsible thing for such a bitch to say. |
Who is it for anybody else to give someone else the "right" to live a healthy or unhealthy life?
|

Yes I watched the recorded LWHD I should have done a thread. Good on Kizzy for doing one. ['facilitated'] She just needs to stay away from Primark and stick to her Regent Street stores. |

What a stupid irresponsible brainless thing to say, what are bigger women supposed to wear then?
I'm sure there are many stores in the high st and online with fashionable clothing ranges for the larger woman ( and man). |
..I agree it was a stupid thing to say and an awfull message to give out..she also said the same of smaller people/size zeros etc so it wasn't aimed at just larger people...I'm sure that somewhere in that, she had some kind of what she thought was a well meaning intention of saying that no extreme is healthy, which of course it isn't but that was completely lost in her feeling that anyone should be 'demonised' or made to feel as though they have to have specific selective shops because their body size is not what she considers is healthy...

great idea Jamelia, stay thin or stay naked!

Loose Woman HD setting the agenda again
Jamelia setting out a plan to address the issue of fat woman in society what is more worrying is that Kizzy made a thread that Arista should have made:worry: what next, Kizzy signing her posts "Feel the Force" :umm2: |

I can imagine the reaction if Katie Hopkins had said that stores should not stock ethnic clothes and should stop catering for 'black' women.
What makes this non-entity singer feel that it is perfectly valid for her to decree what the 'ideal' woman' should be? |
