Well he hasn't actually promised to go totally Toy Soldier,he said he was standing down as leader now, a new election of leader for UKIP will take place later in the year.

He is off to do things politicians don't usually do, then he will decide if he is going to throw his hat in the ring again to be elected leader.

Make of that what you will.:conf:

"don't usually do"? Is he buying a gunboat and heading for the Mediterranean?

Renting*, sorry, he couldn't buy one. He's a humble chap who only drives a refurbished Reliant Robin that he got using money from Wonga.

farage is too popular to leave, he will be back, his party is the third largest in voting, they smashed the lib dem vote, they have more votes than the snp, ukip where nothing before he came, 2010 they had over 900.000 votes, in 2015 over 3.895 million votes, I can see that number rising when the tory's lie about the eu vote to stay or go,

MTVN 09-05-2015 10:59 PM

**** off Nigel you're finished

Empire and MTVN are both right here.

UKIP is nothing without Farage, Farage has been deeply damaged by the loss of his seat, therefore UKIP is finished.

They will be an irrelevance by the time the next election comes.

Or at least, I seriously hope so.

If there has been an eu referendum by the next election, the purpose of ukip will have disappeared. It is an ex party

As soon as the Tories go galloping out to the right wing again, UKIP will be as forgotten as the BNP. They've only garnered such popular support (same goes for SNP) because the main parties have all been barging shoulders in the centre ground thinking that that's where the election ought to be fought.
