Is the curse broken?

Do you consider the curse to be broken? The curse being a woman being the first evictee every time. I know Simon has been evicted first, but I ask because it was not a public vote. So with this in mind, do you consider the curse to be broken? Or does it only count to you if it's a public vote?

wasn't even given a proper eviction, the poor bloke

Denver 13-05-2015 06:25 PM

I don't think it can count as all the other woman went because of a public vote

Except Lynn (BB3)

I don't see it as a curse. I hate all women.

Her and Jade were nominated the public - slightly similar to how Simon was chosen by the public, even if they didn't know what they were voting for.

(anyway, if the next one out's a woman, we can pretend she's the first evictee because misogyny's fine and dandy as long as it's tradition)

karezza 13-05-2015 06:37 PM

Bring back Simon to save the curse!

Glenn. 13-05-2015 06:39 PM

There was a vote. Can people not remember that we had to vote for the five housemates that took part in the twist? I count it as a proper eviction.

Jamesy 13-05-2015 06:40 PM

We didn't actually know what we were voting for

I don't count it given it wasn't a public vote for eviction.

Glenn. 13-05-2015 06:41 PM

We knew something bad was going to happen. Emma told us.

It doesn't count

Hopefully a woman still goes, I'm a bit OCD about keeping this tradition for some reason

All streaks are meant to be broken, just ask the Undertaker. And like with the decision to break the Undertakers streak was made by Vince, so was it done here by BB (producers) and fate.

On here itīs just like this:

BB (producers) was Vince McMahon. Undertaker was the streak (of women always getting evicted first). The box that was set by BB (producers) and opened by Simon was Brock Lesnar doing the third F5 to the Undertaker. And Simon was the damage made by Brock Lesnarīs third F5 to Undertaker ie: 3 count leading to Brockīs victory.

Josy 13-05-2015 07:06 PM

No, only the voting public can break the curse i'm afraid

He had a best bits and an exit interview, so that makes it a genuine eviction to me, public voted or not. If I was a hm this year i would be pooping my pants, cause this could randomly happen again throughout the series.
