Jealous of Sarah?
 

As soon as Sarah came in the house Jade pulled weird faces, and then when she went into the Diary Room she said how she disliked Sarah the most so far and yet she didn't give a reason as to why.

Tbf my argument is pretty loose because none of us even know Jade that well, but it's just convenient that the 2nd best looking girl in the house is not taking to the best looking girl in the house.

What do you guys think?

Early doors yet, I mean, IMO the twins and Harriet are well above Jade in the looks department. But Jade deffo came across as bitch and jealous.

No not at all, Jade far surpasses Sarah in the looks department imo anyway, so there's nothing to be jealous about in that department.

It's just a case of people having bad first impressions of one another and let's be honest, Sarah has hardly given the best first impression :laugh:

Totally agree with this. I noticed jade was giving Sarah funny looks when she first came in the house. Imo jade thought she was going to be the best looker in the house and Sarah put a stop to that. I also agree that the twins far outclass jade in the looks department especially as they don't have chicken legs like jade does. I think jade comes across as a bit of a bitch but time time will tell if this is true.

Why does Jade not liking Sarah have to be related to jealousy or attractiveness. People don't get on, that's life. This is the same as the why does Danny not like Aaron thread.

tbf though, she wasn't the only one who said that they weren't too sure about Sarah, the two boys (Cristian and Danny I think?) said the same about her, so it is possible that she's just not coming across too nice?

Jade has a different look to any of the other girls in the house. She has an amazing body and I would never call her legs 'chicken legs'. I admit she seemed very aloof on the first night so I reserved my judgement but in all fairness Sarah is definitely giving out bad vibes specially when looking at the pictures of the housemates. I don't think for a moment that Jade thinks she is the best looking girl in the house. She has the best body but that's all. I think she was funny once she took off that outfit and was just looking pretty normal like the others. She was funny in the diary room also as she was a bit tipsy and the stripped back look suits her much better.

Jade to the best of my knowledge is the only single girl in there this year and I doubt very much if there will be any love interest between her and any of the guys. All of the girls this year are pretty probably the nicest looking girls we have had in a few years. Before casting aspersions as to Jade being a bitch or jealous or anything lets see how this week pans out. We have had only one highlights show yet. Just my opinion

Because she was giving her dirty looks as soon as she came in the house. Have a look and see her face. Why give someone dirty looks in the first minute?

Yeah I think she looked gorgeous when she took the silly outfit off and looked more casual

I'd say its more disliking her attitude than it is jealousy, I probably would have pulled similar faces for the same reason

I think they are going to be vying for alpha female, or it could be that as Jade said she's quite spiritual maybe she just got a bad vibe from Sarah?

Jade loves the attention and i dont think she will be happy when the other girls attract more attention

and tbf she wasn't the only one who said that last night but she's the only one being accused of having an ulterior motive for saying it

When I read about Jade before she entered the house I thought she sounded like she could be an entertaining housemate and was looking forward to her entering.
However one of the reasons I took a dislike to her on launch night was that she came across as very standoffish with the women and bitchy. I didn't write much about it because I know we had only just met the housemates and it was hard to explain why I felt that way, but I got that impression of her because of a few little things.

1. When she entered Chloe was was being very friendly to her and complimented her that she looked great a few times, I don't know if Jade even said thank you or returned any compliment, I could be wrong about that but in that very short meeting I got the feeling she was almost blanking Chloe (or at the very least not being as friendly in return) and kept her eye contact and conversation more directed at Kieran even when Chloe was there beside her telling her she looked good.

2. I don't remember her reaction when Sarah came in, but I distinctly remember her reaction to Adjoa. On BOTS Judy James who I don't often agree with even pointed out the look Jade was giving Adjoa as she was sipping her drink, she was sort of sizing her up and gave this bitchy downturned mouth gesture. But the bit I noticed when watching, was her face the instant after she hugged Adjoa after meeting. It was just a very brief weak hug, and the second Jade turned her back she pulled a really bitchy type face with her mouth downturned/twisted like a "yuck" face. It's hard to explain because she quickly switched her face back to neutral again but I definitely spotted it.

3. Live feed showed showed her spending a lot of her time chatting with Danny and telling him about having to share a bed with "the blonde one" (Sarah), she didn't seem to be mingling in with the other girls in the garden much. She didn't say anything overtly bitchy at all about Sarah to Danny but just her tone of voice made it seem like she wasn't happy at all about sharing a bed with Sarah - this was then confirmed to me when I saw her diary room entry last night.

So yeah, my first impressions of Jade were cold, bitchy, dislikes and possibly feels threatened by other strong and/or goodlooking women and will only be bubbly and friendly with the males in the house.

However after watching last nights episode she came across so much different and seemed very normal and nice really so now I'm confused. I was thinking maybe I got the wrong impression of her and actually really liked her last night, but I will be watching her closely.

I don't know if she's jealous of Sarah or not. Sarah seems like she is going to be very feisty and maybe she is put off by her strong personality? However in diary room she said she got "bad vibes" of Sarah the second she entered so to take such an instant dislike within seconds might suggest that she might feel a bit threatened by Sarah's looks too? Although maybe Sarah gave her bitchy looks too that Jade picked up on and that we didn't see?

I read a book before called "Rachel's Holiday" where this woman called Rachel has to go to an addiction treatment centre for drugs and alcohol. In the book, 2 of Rachel's sisters are described as stunning and Rachel herself always feels inferior to them. When she is checking into the centre Rachel and her father meet a beautiful blonde receptionist who Rachel nicknames "Ms. Bubbly" as she's so pretty and charming and friendly. However when Rachel's gorge sister enters the reception "Ms. Bubbly" keeps giving her sideways looks,"beams" at Rachel and her father but "scowls" at her sister. Rachel thinks in her head that Ms Bubbly is:

"probably used to being the best looking woman in the room" and that is the reason she took an instant dislike to her sister. :laugh:

I found that observation funny. Sometimes really stunning people who are used to being the best looking one out of their group of friends etc., can act a bit standoffish or like they are sizing a person up if they have to spend time with a new person who is just as goodlooking or even prettier than them! It's usually just people who are deepdown a bit insecure though and who's looks are the most important thing to them so they don't like to feel threatened that they are not the best looking one there. A genuinely secure person doesn't take an instant dislike to other beautiful people. Jade did mention that she bullied when she was younger over her looks and she's definitely not the best looking girl in that house (in my opinion) so maybe she is feeling a bit unsure about herself and bitchy?

I'm not sure if Jade is like this at all , but she does pull quite bitchy faces probably completely unintentionally though. It might not be to with with jealousy about looks at all though, as I didn't notice her being bitchy with the twins, maybe it's just "vibes" she's getting of the women who have a very strong presence and could be "alpha females" like Judy James suggested.

As others have pointed out Jade is not the only person to have taken a bit of a dislike to Sarah so Sarah is likely giving off bitchy vibes herself and people are picking up on it.

I wasn't keen on launch night Jade, I really liked last night's show Jade though, so will be interested to see how she comes across tonight. :)

Actually Niamh you just made an excellent point and I'm only after seeing it after I sent my other post. Being a model she would be used to being around beautiful people all the time, so it most likely is just bad vibes she's getting of Sarah, or else the "alpha female" thing.

But i dont think its about looks as i said above

Really enjoyed reading your post Pinkpeggy :love: Really great observations and analysis. Just one point I would like to pick up on really is I would not be happy about sharing a bed with someone either and I probably would look a bit weird hugging a stranger too. Not because I'm jealous of people just because I really value my personal space and boundaries and it makes me uncomfortable to have to be overly close with people I don't know so coming from that place myself I could understand why other people might react like Jade did about those things? Now maybe I'm completely wrong as well but time will tell i guess
