DC's Legends of Tomorrow (Flash/Arrow spinoff)

Hmm, I think this could be good but at the same time I think they've gone way over the top with the comic book stuff. Robots and Star Wars guns?

Lostie! 18-05-2015 04:18 PM

Finally watched the trailer (I was an episode behind on The Flash and Arrow and wanted to catch up first). I'm really excited for this. :flutter:

Firewire 24-11-2015 03:25 PM

Looks amazing!

Lostie! 24-11-2015 03:34 PM

Are the upcoming Arrow / Flash crossover episodes leading into this? I assumed so judging from the episode titles.

Firewire 24-11-2015 03:50 PM

Yeah I think so because they introduce Hawkman and Hawkgirl

Firewire 24-01-2016 06:53 PM

The first episode aired on Thursday, anyone watched it? I'm halfway through.

Lostie! 24-01-2016 07:19 PM

Ooh I haven't seen it yet, I'll get it watched sometime soon!

Firewire 24-01-2016 07:20 PM

Just watched it. It's an okay concept but think it'll take time to build momentum. It's very Star Wars-y.

Tom4784 24-01-2016 07:33 PM

Flash and Arrow (and this when it airs) are the only shows I watch at UK pace, I've got a fair few friends who watch them on Sky and I don't like watching ahead of them since I'll have no one to talk to about it.

Tom4784 30-01-2016 10:49 AM

Watched the first two episodes, Sky isn't airing this until March so **** 'em.

I really liked the first two episodes, Rip Hunter's a great character so far and I'm loving a lighter hearted Sarah.

Spoiler:

Carter was too hot to die though  They should have killed off Heatwave

Lostie! 02-02-2016 06:14 PM

Just watched the first two episodes. I'd been holding off until I caught up on the episodes of Arrow and The Flash I'd fallen behind on, just in case of possible crossovers.

Spoiler:

Speaking of, I loved Damien Darhk's cameo in Part 2.

Chronos was interesting, I hope we see more of him.

Also, I had no idea a version of Gideon would be in this show so that was a cool surprise!

All in all, I really enjoyed it! :)

Tom4784 02-02-2016 06:45 PM

I think they've said that characters from those shows will appear but there won't be much in the way of crossovers involving their current storylines.

DrunkerThanMoses 08-02-2016 11:02 PM

Looking forward to this

Sky need to hurry the **** up and bring Arrow and Flash back as well

Lostie! 10-03-2016 11:24 PM

Anyone else been keeping up with this? I'm still really enjoying it!

The latest episode (at US pace) might have been my favourite yet actually.

I love Gideon and and her constant sprightly tone regardless of the situation
Spoiler:

(and other ships having similar systems called Gary and Gilbert is a great touch ).

Firewire 10-03-2016 11:33 PM

Star City 2046 was my favourite

I've been liking it but not as good as Arrow/Flash

Lostie! 10-03-2016 11:46 PM

I'm personally more into this than Arrow atm. Of the 3 shows Arrow currently holds the least amount of interest from me, which is funny since obviously it's the show that started it all.

Watched the first two episodes, it's good

I'm watching Arrow and Flash at the UK pace so I'm not up to date but I think Arrow is much stronger this season than Flash, Flash has been floundering a bit, Jay and the Zoom storyline is rather boring and there's nothing that compelling happening at the moment as opposed to Arrow which has an excellent villain and a story that's being built upon each week.

Firewire 11-03-2016 07:25 PM

I agree.

Season 1 of the Flash was better than Arrow 3 but Arrow 4 is better than Flash 2 :joker:

Lostie! 04-04-2016 01:55 AM

Just watched the last episode.

Spoiler:

Chronos being Mick all along was a nice twist (one I wish I hadn't accidentally spoiled for myself before watching ).

I loved seeing Ra's al Ghul again. His story in Arrow wasn't my favourite but I always enjoyed him as a character, just wish he had a better arc to work with. I also liked it for the sake of the different shows really retaining the shared universe vibe (yes it's a show with most of the main cast comprised of characters from Arrow and The Flash but I still really enjoy other characters from those shows popping up ). Another aspect of it I liked was that, apart from Sara and Ray, none of the others had met Ra's yet so it was cool to see some new character interactions (and Ra's being confused by Firestorm was great ).

The inclusion of Talia al Ghul was interesting too (a lot of people seemed to assume Nyssa was basically a composite of both of them), I wonder if we'll see an older Talia eventually in one of the shows. I remember during season 2 of Arrow there was a theory going around that Isabel Rochev might have been Talia for some reason. Of course I don't think that's likely anymore but it's ironic that she ended up being killed by Nyssa.

Although this does pose the question, back in Arrow season 3 when Nyssa was seeking vengeance for Sara's murder, did Ra's always know she would eventually be resurrected?

One small gripe I have with the show is the sometimes heavy handed references (like Ray mentioning several times how he's been held prisoner at Nanda Parbat before or Sara and Kendra unnecessarily reminding us at the end that they've both died before ). It's nothing too distracting though, I'm still really enjoying this!

Tom4784 04-04-2016 07:41 PM

Hawkgirl going back to her weekly reminders that she used to be a Barista :bored:

I'm starting to think Vandal has the right idea.

Lostie! 04-04-2016 07:47 PM

:joker::joker:

Tom4784 04-04-2016 07:50 PM

Apparently (not really spoilers since it's been announced by CW but still)

Spoiler:

there's going to be a major DC Superhero premiering in the last episode of the season. I think it's going to be a Green Lantern tbh.

Oh yeah I've heard about that the other day, they've cast Patrick J Adams for the role haven't they?

I think so.

Spoiler:

Might be Nightwing, thinking about it or possibly even someone like a grown up Damian Wayne.
