Whether you're religious or not, Jesus was a historical figure and is documented as such. That's not fiction, that's history aka fact.

I don't understand, she stuck up for her religion one time and in total context to the current conversation. There are reasons to dislike her but this isn't it.

Many atheists acknowledge that Jesus existed. If an Athiest had said it, I doubt there would be as much outrage.
