Last nights rating

Last night got rating only got 1.17

HOWEVER it got an 8.6% share which is amazing for BB!!

This is up there with the really amazing figures of BB14!

for example a Thursday of BB14 got 1.5 8.7%

So the audience share is great, way above average, it seems that less people watch tv in May compared to June and July because if this was June it would proabably be getting like 1.4-1.5 with that kind of share.

Just to add BB15 (Power Trip) didn't receive a rating share that high for a normal highlight show.

Why are ratings low, in terms of millions?

BB15's Saturday highlights got more than a lousy 1.17m.
I'm hoping ratings pick up in June.

I'm enjoying this series so much, and the fact it's treading on thin ice, with the 1m mark is quiet annoying.

but its getting an 8.6% share!!! BB15 didn't getting anything this high, it can't really improved, the peak BB could get would be 9%

No Saturday BB15 highlight show got as high as 1.17m

well considering BB14 peaked at around 9% with highlights it really cant get much better

Its sad to think every time I watch BB I'm not on overnight figures because I use Xbox for LiveTV. I think maybe 1.8m officials Maybe 1.6,

That fact that it had an 8.6% share with barely over a million viewers it just means it was a quiet night for TV. That share is really good though.

I think viewers (in millions) will pick up in June.

As long as the show always stays over 1 million viewers a night I think the show will be safe for the foreseeable future.

This Saturday will probably be right under 1 million. Eurovision on which will probably batter the ratings. I cannot see BGT live week being that pretty for Big Brother either. I'm guessing Ben Frow and co are expecting those days to be bad though.

The percentage is more important because it shows that, out of everyone watching television, (8% of) people are choosing Big Brother over other networks. Even though that's only 1.1m and, on paper, looks low. It isn't in reflection. People need to stop worrying.

Thanks for the reassurance.

I think a lot more people watch it than admit to it.

Beetlejuice 21-05-2015 05:18 PM

An 8% share that amounts to little more than a million viewers is not good. It just means more and more people are turning their televisions off at night apart from some BB viewers. If there was anything on worth watching, they wouldn't be turning off.

Having zero competition doesn't really mean it's doing well though, it just means everybody else is watching Netflix.
