Is it dangerous for Jack to go on a crash diet?

He is both a tall and overweight guy so would be used to far higher calorie intake than most people. So this enforced diet could have a far greatest physiological impact on his body. I hope BB have taken this into account.

ebandit 23-05-2015 06:12 PM

calorie intake

even on basics BB provides adequate nutrition

hms I'm starved = this is no fun

Oh it'll be such a shame if he has to leave the house because of lack of food

/sarcasm

I was looking at him in his dressing gown last night (sorry if you're having your tea. :D )
and Jack's legs seem to go right up to his armpits.

Like tree trunks they are.

Jamesy 23-05-2015 06:31 PM

He's back on luxuries now anyway since Jade chose him to join her with luxuries...

All the housemates will be monitored so just a lack of cakes and crisps isn't going to kill Jack off. Basic rations is not as dramatic as it sounds, they get enough to live, this isn't Bear Grylls The Island.

They are provided what they need.... they doesn't mean they consume what they need. Joel is just eating cereal.

i've seen and read about more obese people going on worst diets..

if anything it's good for him, the fatter you are the quicker you lose the weight in the beginning.

Medically speaking yes, but the basic rations provided by BB is high in calories so jack is not in danger.

He would probably need a gastric band, could have the fat gene. I am sure the food cost percentage at the fast food joint where he works at has gone down drastically since he left the place.

bots 23-05-2015 10:26 PM

Its very dangerous, yes - for the other house mates

I think he will be alright

GLENN BILL BB7 24-05-2015 02:49 AM

He needs to lose weight! Nuff said.

mr rochester 24-05-2015 06:01 AM

I think he is losing weight - he looks thinner than when he entered. It won't do him any harm at all. He was mad for not taking the car - he won't win as the others will begin to nominate him tactically before long.

the rations on BBUK would be considered luxury on Survior

This!

Denver 24-05-2015 07:20 AM

Seeing as he is not so fat no

Ammi 24-05-2015 07:21 AM

..I think on basics they're still given a nutritious/balanced intake, aren't they..?...I don't think it would be dangerous for him physically, maybe mentally it's not something that he's best prepared for at this moment/psyched up for... but then that would probably and should have been considered by him going in as well because housemates know that hunger will be an issue on basic rations....I think though that the BB house would be one of the least dangerous places in terms of medical monitoring of the housemates so signs of any danger would be watched out for...

You're right as long as he does eat the basic ration such as the chickpeas etc.. To me the basic rations sound good if you just use a bit of imagination with them.

Let's hope Jack does eat sensibly and restricted diet does not last too long as he does seem stressed out about it.

Blame the parents, that's what I think.

I agree, Tubby has never been told no & to go run outside. Sad really.
Big brothers Big Diet.

armand.kay 24-05-2015 11:36 AM

There only on basic rations for a week. Also idk why this lot were acting like they'd been left with no food for a month when it had only been two days

This, tbh bb needs to just give them one can of chickpeas for the whole week if they keep moaning.

cookiemonster 24-05-2015 01:19 PM

it's not dangerous, it'll do him good to not have 10,000 calories a day

YourLAEx 24-05-2015 01:21 PM

Maybe he can conserve his energy by not speaking.
