7 weeks for a laptop to be delivered?
 

I ordered my first laptop (MacBook) the first week of April from Apple and it said 8 weeks delivery because apparently they had so many orders for it. Is 8 weeks the norm when ordering a fairly new laptop? Ive never ordered a laptop before, they have finally dispatched it today after 7 weeks of waiting.

I know someone who ordered the exact same laptop (same spec) and received it within a week of ordering...

Yeah when I ordered my Mac (after it was announced) it took ageees to be shipped, wouldn't worry about it

I spilled coffee on my (nearly new) laptop nearly 2 weeks ago and it obviously would not start, but I bought this one and it arrived in store the day after.

I think 7 weeks is a piss-take really. Customer Service is generally as dead as the Do-Do.

Apple yes it's normal. Any other laptop, no not normal.

I have never waited that long for a laptop tbh,but I guess if they have already told you it will be 8 weeks,not much can be done.
