Does anyone think he had feelings for Nick
 

I was just thinking there that Joel seemed to turn on Jade in the last week saying how much he doesn't like her, trust her etc. As some posters pointed out it MAY be because he heard someone chant get Jade out but I cant help but wonder is it because he had feelings for Nick. Its easy to believe that Nick is straight but I was very puzzled about Joel from the start. I was just wondering if he has turned on Jade BECAUSE he was close to Nick (which he was to be fair) and now Nick is spending a lot of time with Jade. Maybe I am totally wrong but Joel wasn't very vocal in his dislike of Jade at the start :conf::conf::conf:

I think Joel just hasn't liked how Nick has changed with Jade around him 24/7. Joel seemed quite close to Nick so maybe it's a simple matter of him being angry and frustrated with Nick casting him aside for Jade.

That's how I see it anyway. Nick did go from generally going around the whole house giving everyone equal attention, to then spending all day and night with Jade. I know I would certainly be annoyed if someone did that to me overnight.

Whether their relationship is anything beyond friendship who knows. I think there was (is?) a strong relationship between the both of them, maybe even in a kind of romantic (but not sexual) way. But then who knows, we're only seeing a condensed down show and online videos so we have very little to judge what's really going on in there.

Joel hasn't been very vocal about anyone, not just Jade. However he's not stupid and I think he sees a lot that goes on. I don't think Joel has feelings for Nick, other than friendship and he admitted that he was disapointed in Nick, whether that was because Nick allowed himself to be put under Jade's thumb (and what a massive thumb it is, she has hands like a brickie!!) Or because of Nicks nominations chat, or the fact that Nick deserted his friends for Jade.

Is Joel gay? or in the closet?

I don't think its a boy crush; I think Joel just felt a bit crushed by Nicks actions.

No. Joel maybe jealous that Nick is getting attention from a hot girl...

but I am not buying the whole "secret gay" theory being bandied about.
If he is gay, I will wait to hear him say it. I won't define people on their sexuality unless they choose to make that apart of how they are defined.

I think the reason he gave was pretty straight forward. he can't just nominate jade for talking about nominations when there was two people involved. He might be friends with him but he probably thought no one else would nominate him anyway

I wouldn't be surprised as I feel that his throwing away his game for him.

Joel just needs a good shag.
