Expect somehing drastic to happen... Ch5 comments on BB struggle
So, a poster called Oathy (pretty sure he used to be a member here too, not sure if he is anymore), he has been one of the most hardcore Live Feed campaigners in the last 6 years. He has had contact with Ben Frow, a Channel 5 producer and according to Ben, he is "not happy" by the state of the show and the current ratings. According to Oathy, Ben was in talks with Ch5 for live feed, and I think some wanted it, and some didn't (not sure whether it was Ch5, Viacom or Endemol who wanted/didn't want it). They were in talks in January about it and it was about to be agreed, but they the dropped it.
Well, anyway, Oathy states that Ben Frow was very honest in his reply and said he is not happy and is having meetings with people to see what can be done. Ben personally wants the feed back, but some other people don't. Oathy is saying that judging by his email from him, we should expect a few drastic things to happen... things that may happen: - A mass eviction like BB11 which would be linked to the Timebomb theme - Getting a lot more new HMs to throw in after the mass eviction - Re-introducing ex HMs (unsure if this would be for tasks) And last but not least, more discussions regarding Live Feed. |
A mass eviction will leave the show with only the dullards left. :nono:

Yeah hate all those ideas, they're the kind of thing that would make me switch off tbh

Well I'm glad that at least LF is being discussed

We will be left with another BB4. If this happens i will stop watching. :omgno:

Yes I am Ready to Pay As You Go my Master Card is ready |
We'd literally be left with a house full of Dannys, Joels, Keirans, Cristians and Chloes if they did a mass eviction in a VTE, not here for it
|
Yaay Live Feed
But what they need to do and learn from BB15 is that less twists = better series and more viewers |

Endemol don't want a feed though and they produce the show, I doubt it'll happen this year.

I don't agree with the mass eviction if it's VTE like I said to Oathy. But I reckon Ch5 is literally throwing all the cards down, from the sounds of it, they want to get rid of half the HMs and throw in around 7 more in from what I got from Oathy's post.
Live Feed is more difficult than it sounds apparently too. As I said, some people want it (saying it's the whole point) and some people don't because they feel it's a waste of money if it's not going to increase ratings. I think from what I gather is that Viacom and Ch5 WANT it, Endemol doesn't. Which confuses me because Endomol runs Live Feed for nearly every single country that has BB. |
Just bring Live Feed back and Vote to Save... Literally that's all we need. No twists, gimmicks etc.

Imo this series was going well with the more social aspect of it being prevelant in the highlight shows, but they can easily kill the series with a ****e twist like a mass eviction
|
Oathy just said to me...
Hi salv I think we can expect some major events in the show. He really isn't happy I have got back in touch with Samwell -Smith and sent him a copy of Ben Frows email. So "major events", I don't know if that sounds good or downright terrible. Nick Samwell Smith is the Managing Director of Endemol and in 2011 was placed in charge of BB if people didn't know. http://www.endemoluk.com/who-we-are/initialuk/team_bios So, seeing all these high people being contacted means that Ch5 is serious about doing something. Knowing Ch5 though, it's going to be shockingly bad. |
I don't like the sound of half the housemates going- that's ridiculous. What it needed was promotion and a June launch, live feed nightly and that's it really.

It won't be a mass eviction, because then Jade would go. She would only stay in a vote to save.
