So they literally make things up as they go along then

Now, I'm not one for being OTT, and I completely understand that in recent years producers love their twists (which I've come to accept). However, this week might just be the biggest farce in the shows history, and what's even more irritating is that it's all been made up day-by-day.

Having half of the house up, asking Jack if he wanted to use his immunity pass on one of them, changing the nominations and asking the same question to Jack again (what if he had said yes the first time?) and the deciding to chuck four of them out and stick another 4 in.. All in the hope of saving the sinking ratings? Perhaps if producers didn't drive viewers away, the show would still be averaging over a million per night..

It really is a shambles and might be the biggest cock up we've had. Why bother recruiting half of them only to decide they aren't 'doing it' for you/the show?

Honestly... 4 good housemates and a live feed and a return to something like the old format. If they can manage that on Friday, then I will watch.

And I hope they never ever do anything like this again.

Drew. 27-05-2015 10:49 PM

Everything they could have done to cock up parts of this series so far they've done. Whether its unfair evictions, revealing noms, going back on their own rules and changing things in the house to suit their own needs.. It's unbelievable really, they are ****ing clueless. And the moments this series we've had which haven't involved their inputs have been good moments.

LukeB 27-05-2015 10:51 PM

agreed 100%

I also think this twist was a last minute thing they are throwing at us.

I am honestly starting to wonder if they're sabotaging it on purpose

It does feel like it.. thats how made their decisions are

Calderyon 27-05-2015 10:53 PM

It really seems like they are deliberately trying to bury the civilian series altogether to get the rating surge to point of no return and then have an excuse to axe it and continue only with the CBB going forward.

I totally agree, the manipulation has added nothing.

jackc1806 27-05-2015 10:54 PM

A thread appeared this morning speculating it-
It was a result of Ben Frow getting back from holiday and asking for the show to have 'a kick up the arse'

Literally decided today.

Mystic Mock 27-05-2015 10:54 PM

Ch5 are only really interested in CBB, this is just a side show to them.

I however am glad that the 6 biggest fan bases didn't face this quadruple eviction as the ratings drop would be more noticeable if four of them left this week because of the lower ratings.

Yeah, this morning the email contained certain points which could be looked into.. One of them being a 4-way eviction, another being new housemates.

LukeB 27-05-2015 10:59 PM

I think Ofcom will be busy

exactly- I reckon they decided today. It was tacked onto the end of the HL show and Rylan only tweeted it about the time the HL show finishes post production

They have no idea how much their viewers (and all those who used to be viewers) pine for shows gone by

when there was constant speculation between the HM's about who nommed who

when there were groups trying to affect nominations even though they couldnt say so

when the house felt like it was in game mode and the tasks were a cross between an episode of Fun House closely followed by Tiswas

when they used to throw random parties filling HM's with sugar and alcohol until they made complete twats of themselves for our pleasure

when the morning after the night before was always embarrassing for someone, usually several people

and when dinner time, all around the table, cause they had actual food......was a cross between a chimps tea party and a family funeral

I'm in mourning for the days of 'Fun Big Brother, and sick of the 'Throw it all out and start again Big Brother

Don't get your point sorry.

HMs often promise they'll do all sorts of things they never actually do once in there !

Twist will send out a message HMs aren't safe playing it safe.

Christ, pretty much every point you mentioned there seems to be non existent now and these are all points which used to make Big Brother the show it was.. how times change.

I LOVE IT. They have to keep coming up with new stuff. I yawned when I saw it was only reversing the nominations and putting the others up. Its been done so many times. NOW this is different. 4 go out 4 go in. The only pity is that Kieran and Sarah are amongst the people up cos I love Kieran and I think Jade needs Sarah

Because there is no live feed to keep people interested. And anymore of these twists will destroy the show. Unfortunately I fear they still have not understood this.

Moosething 27-05-2015 11:18 PM

There will be another Armageddon style week later on too no doubt
