Is the gay community up in arms against the lascivious actions of Arron?
 

I truly hope they are as I am sure all gay men do not want to be tarred with the same sticky tar as Arron.

Does the straight community get up in arms over incidents involving straight people?

I don't really see the need to expect a whole group of people to act in a certain way.

However I would hope, that most people in general see Aarons behavior as wholy unacceptable...

This hardly represents gay men.

I spoke to gay Headquarters this morning and they are fuming!!

I play Mario Cart 8 on the Wii U and yes I consider myself part of that community by association. So if while playing Mario Cart a member started flapping his penis around me I would be outraged and make it clear this person actions do no represent the Mario cart community. Therefore I would expect the same outrage from the gay community on mass regarding this matter via which ever channel or spokesperson they like.

This post just really made me laugh, I'm sorry if that wasn't the desired reaction..but really :laugh:

This incident certainly made me examine my prejudices. At the time I found it quite funny but slightly creepy. Judging by the reaction of all the other housemates present, many of whom were giggling and encouraging Aaron, I would guess my reaction was fairly typical of most people watching, with none of the outrage we are seeing today from many commenters.

Then I thought, for example, "What if Danny had acted in this way towards Sarah?" Obviously I would have been shocked and angered, and so would most of the viewers.

So it appears that many of us in the real world still treat gays differently to straight people, in this case favouring gays, which is in itself wrong because we should all be treated equally. Hence my confusion, and I suppose why C5 decided to make an example of Aaron.

I still found the whole incident more funny than shocking, but it seems we must all now be outraged in the interests of equality.

I wear a towel around me when I get out of the shower. I'd like to say that Aarons actions do not represent the wider towel wearing community.
