C5 reducing the length of series: RUMOURS

@bigblaggeruk: Channel 5 are considering reducing the current length of this series, more info as we get it #bbuk #bbtimebomb

Firewire 29-05-2015 12:11 PM

welp

Calderyon 29-05-2015 12:12 PM

Start of the End of Days for civilian BB? (ie: axing)

Gypsy 29-05-2015 12:12 PM

What was it originally?

Firewire 29-05-2015 12:13 PM

It was 10 weeks originally

Firewire 29-05-2015 12:13 PM

Big Blagger is normally reliable, too, so I believe this

jackc1806 29-05-2015 12:14 PM

Embarrassing ha

jackc1806 29-05-2015 12:14 PM

I heard someone say 32 days lmao

MB. 29-05-2015 12:14 PM

</3

Jarrod 29-05-2015 12:14 PM

If they've contracted the show for 10 weeks, they aren't able to shorten it due to the broadcasting rights etc.

death

jackc1806 29-05-2015 12:14 PM

rumours suggested its cut to 32 days bc it says 32 episodes on tv guideline or something like that, it might be a mistake only

jackc1806 29-05-2015 12:15 PM

That's a message someone sent

Moosething 29-05-2015 12:16 PM

I doubt it would be 32 days

Omg welp it said 72 at start of the series

MB. 29-05-2015 12:17 PM

Probably just an error.

I hope so

Jarrod 29-05-2015 12:19 PM

That's my fault - I shared it onto Twitter, it's a mistake only by the looks of it.

Vicky. 29-05-2015 12:19 PM

Oh wow, is it really doing that badly? I would have thought anything over 1m viewers would be classed as a success for c5 really, unless its even under that :S

lewis111 29-05-2015 12:19 PM

I don't think they could make it 32 days unless there is like a quadruple eviction every week. Wouldn't surprise me with these producers though.

Same Vicky this is exactly what I've been thinking everyone's been calling it a 'ratings crisis' but over 1m or over a 5% share is probably good for C5. Maybe if it was C4 it would be a ratings crisis but even then Indian Summers has been renewed for another three series I heard and that got under 1m viewers :umm2:

jackc1806 29-05-2015 12:22 PM

'bigblaggeruk: They are hoping for a surge in viewers next week after tonight. If that doesn't happen then the series will end earlier than planned

Costs more that most shows though

Firewire 29-05-2015 12:23 PM

Well that's stupid since it's BGT week. If the quad was next week it might have worked in their favour.

Gusto Brunt 29-05-2015 12:23 PM

Seems like BB is on a suicide mission
