BB Classic Episodes

Hi everyone! This is my first ever post. I've been reading these forums for years so I feel like I know you all lol, but I've never actually registered.

I've recently been getting nostalgic and watching old episodes of BB that stand out in my memory and I'd like to know what you consider to be 'classic' episodes and why. I'm not really looking for favourite whole series, just individual episodes that stand out to you for whatever reason.

I'll kick things off with the BB3 finale which I re-watched recently. I remember at the time this felt like an event! The culmination of the Jade storyline which was massive that summer, everyone was talking about her. Genuinely not knowing who was going to win and feeling like I'd be pleased for whoever it would be. There was no hate. I felt like BB wanted us to LIKE these people and be happy for them/congratulate them. The baying crowds that we're used to now were instead full of excitement and anticipation that mirrored our own and so it felt like we right there in the middle of it. I was blown away by the incredible atmoshphere of it all, it had a positivity that's almost unrecognisable now. Kate won because people liked her, and there really didn't need to be any other reason.

This was a truly great episode for me.

Looking forward to being reminded of more, perhaps obscure gems that I've forgotten over the years.

BB7 is one to watch if you haven't yet. The only downside is that Big Brother put all their eggs in one basket with this series when they found out how much potential it had; they went all out with the tasks and the nomination twists, meaning from BB8+ onwards they started running out of unique ideas.

BB6 is good, it's entertaining, but a lot of the unlikeable housemates made it quite far and it become unbearable to keep watching them and I ended up having to turn off for a little while. It improved once Maskia left. BB5 is the same in that respect. Great drama, but a lot of unlikeable housemates. The Bedsit was great, mind.

A classic for me, that I think is underrated probably because it's from a later series, is BB13's Don't Laugh task. Easily one of my favourite tasks in BB history.

When Shievonne was explaining her fear of clowns, "I think I had some kind of experience with Ronald McDonald", and everyone freaks out because they're about to laugh. :joker:

That and the Yes/No task from BB12 are C5's best work. But it was all downhill from there.

BB9 - Kat "please don't take away anymore of my friends" - gets evicted herself.

BB9 is one of my favourite series.

I've not seen that one lostie, I'll have a look for it on youtube.

You reminded me firegazer mentioning bb7, another one of my faves is the episode where suzie is picked to go in the house and they all hear "get grace out". It actually meant something then and was a game changer!

bb has changed so much over the years and i am saddened the chants are put on from the crowd. also the people going in - but we have built BB up so much ofcourse the people that apply with be thinking of all the ways they can be remembered for ever in BB history. i supose that is a sad side of BB but i still love this show.

I loved Big Brother 14 Remote Control task when the old farmer, sheepdog and a herd of sheep ran about the house and the housemates had to stay frozen. I remember Gina frozen in front of mirror and when they were allowed move again she discovered the sheep had **** all over the place. :joker:
