"Going to get STD check" - crack

Where on earth would that come from and how is that crack? also why say this to Chloe who he does not know?

All seems very strange to me

Pete. 31-05-2015 04:49 PM

It was rude and offensive, Chloe is a lovely girl and not promiscuous in the slightest.

LukeB 31-05-2015 04:49 PM

It was a joke but Danny was right in the argument, he shouldn't have said it because he don't know her. But she is all cool with it now as she said she can take it next time or something like that

Jamesy 31-05-2015 05:07 PM

It wasn't crack, it was a childish comment to cause a reaction, and it worked!

y.winter 31-05-2015 05:16 PM

He's trying to cause controversy but being nasty
There was no need to be so inconsiderate

Pink Pegasus 31-05-2015 05:53 PM

It sounded very random but I'm wondering if the comment was linked to their earlier conversation at the table where he made some gross comment about his semen entering her and her taking a pregnancy test or something? It was the conversation where she kept saying "I have a boyfriend". He definitely shouldn't have said it, but it seems such a weird comment to make I thought maybe it was linked to that earlier "banter".

We don't know though, maybe Chloe has someone close affected by an STD or something .... I to think its very odd, and very specific. He could have said something like, now its your turn to be evicted, which would have been more in keeping with the events of the evening, rather than that completely tangential slur

Dollface 31-05-2015 06:00 PM

It was so disrespectful, I would have reacted the same as Chloe did.

Same. I'm fairly placid most of the time, but if I had a few drinks in me, that comment would have made me flip.

I think you may be onto something there. I mean, he's already gone personal with Jade, maybe he's been told/ read some dirt on Chloe too and is trying to use that against her to get a reaction.

The "now it's your turn to be evicted" would have been funny as hell. That's the kind of thing I would say.

I cackled when Marc said that Chloe has no banter.

If your banter is randomly telling someone you don't even know to get an STI test, then you have the sh*ttest banter of all time.

:joker:

fitz2k2 31-05-2015 07:11 PM

I find it hilarious

Beso 31-05-2015 07:25 PM

All I heard was, potato.

Cherie 31-05-2015 08:08 PM

Dublin banter whatever that is :nono:

its an excuse for being offensive

I know some think his banter is totes hilar but if I went in there as of now, being in a relationship if he said I needed an STI check I would tell him he's one ugly twat who looks like David Dickinson on steroids. He may think it's funny but it's just not.

Yep. He's a c u n t.

rusticgal 31-05-2015 10:59 PM

He has probably watched the show...Chloe has had little impact and pretty much sat on the fence. She was saved by the public and I just think he was deliberately provoking her. It wasn't nice and I don't blame her reaction. Marc is testing them all...winding them all up to get a reaction.

Yeah this is exactly how I saw it - I do think that's what he meant and also why he seemed genuinely a bit miffed that they all went mental (because they didn't get the context, although not appropriate either way)

And this is the comment that Marc denied making on the highlight show tonight. Caught out again

Rorkimaru 01-06-2015 12:32 AM

It was intended as a harmless comment. I'm from Dublin so maybe that's why I read it differently but basically it was ribbing. She's supposed to (in his mind) respond by telling him to **** off but in a joking way. Basically bonding by insults.

It obviously didn't land and when he found out why she was so offended he did apologize profusely. A part of the humour is that it's so far from what's actually happening though similar jokes are made in a realistic context too. Basically it was culture clash.

To be honest I've warmed to Mark quite a bit. Nick knows how to deal with him and I think he'll be a good buddy for Cristian.

Yeah I noticed that. Seeing as Chloe reacted and kept saying "I have a boyfriend" etc when he did it, I'm not sure I buy that he 'forgot' saying anything to do with semen, unless he was off his tits on something when he entered the house.

She's misremembering the comment too. She's saying he said one of the original lads pumped seamen into her and he actually said something about his own going into her while they were dancing (iirc).

There's so much confusion about it, he was buzzing off his first night in the house and he said an awful lot of s**t that night. I completely believe he's forgotten it.
